Tuesday Morning May 2nd

Well we are less than 3 weeks from heading out to the cabin in the mountains of N.C. and we are once again getting excited about the move. I'm looking forward to the daily morning hikes up the steep back woods trail and visiting with folks on top of the mountain. I will miss the daily pickle ball play but I should get plenty of physical exercise to take the place of this daily occurrence.

I started Monday out much the usual with a well before 6 roll out to my routines that start with some quiet times to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort and healing after posting this ramble. All are holding at this time. Nancy was off to her doctor's appointments which we are having a lot of before leaving Florida. I was at the Rec for two hours of pickle ball play then came home and headed over to see my barber for an ear lowering and came back and mowed both yards, all before lunch.

We had left over tater salad that Betsy brought on Sunday on top of a garden salad with Greek dressing which was awesome and then some of the carrot cake Arianne left with us. What a delicious lunch and then for supper we finished up the leftover dogs and Cole slaw and the last of the carrot cake. I read from lunch until supper and finished the book titled LIFE ON THE MISSISSIPPI by Rinker Buck and then watched several video on You Tube about his flat bottom boat adventure. He also did the Oregon Trail adventure and I want to read that book as well. He is quite the writer and adventurer and I love his take on history and how life was back in the days and so much of that is forgotten and missed today.

Well there was no baseball or hockey for me so I read until it was shower time around 8 and then watched the History channel's ALONE series until lights out at 10, LATER
