Well Saturday turned out to be another beautiful fall day with a chilly start but eventually warmed up close to the 70's. We turned the heat off an opened the doors during the evening hours as the cabin warmed up with 6 of us eating and playing games until close to 9. The Nymark's are leaving their campground as I make this post and the Martello's with be leaving around 8 and then we will head out for Cornerstone around 9:30.
I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish rollout to my routines that included a solo hike after posting this ramble to conclude my quiet time and talk with my Creator. The fallen leaves have just about covered the back wood trail and road to the top of the mountain. We all took a long hike to the top around 3'ish as we stopped by the Nymark's and picked them up on the way to the top. We saw the Hand's who had company at their rustic cabin and who had just got back from their 10 days in Europe. Joey is going to stay the week and work from the top of the mountain and Deb with go back home. Her mom and dad are still at their huge place just down the road.
We watched the Braves get knocked out of the MLB playoffs by the Phillies and will move on to the league championship game. Both Florida football teams got whupped and Tennessee came from behind to beat #1 Alabama. We made a bunch of jalapeno poppers before we feasted on sweet taters, fresh garden beets, salad and grilled T-bones. A little fruit of the vine flowed before eating. We played some sequence and the guys won again in a raucous game as the Nymark's left out around 8:30 and then we played a couple more game with 4 people which isn't as much fun. The gals won that one and then it was shower time and in the sack by 10'ish, LATER
The gals went over to the Luffman Farm during the morning hours to see the horses while James and I did some archery. Actually he shot several target while I watched. The colors are just gorgeous.
