Well Saturday turned out to be a rain less day here at the cabin but we did see a late afternoon rain shower in Sparta as we traveled out to the Tracy's rental; but this AM its already dripping from the roof in a lite shower just when I usually hike the mountain. I slept in this morning as I knew we were skipping church because of an exposure to the covid virus on Friday night during our Bible study. We thus far have no symptoms, but our leader thinking she had a sinus cold tested and sure enough she is positive. So we will stay home just in case we are now positive as she hugged everyone after missing a week while on vacation, oh well.
Saturday was a busy day that started out much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my routines that start with some quiet time with my Lord after posting this ramble. I finished up with my solo hike to the top of the mountain seeing the blue skies and bright sunshine peering through the wooded trail. Such a beautiful site to start the day. I piddled around in the gardens after my hike checking on all of the flower and veggie beds. I did notice where a deer had wondered through my garlic patch which is now just dirt awaiting to be sowed with next years bulbs. I did harvest another whopper of a tomato which looks like 2 or 3 tomatoes were welded together. The one we ate a couple days ago was delicious but not the prettiest as is this one. The small tomato's are turning but very slowly and we gave away some to the Tracy's along with basil and fresh parsley from the garden.
We had a delicious egg, tomato, pickle, onion and lettuce with mayo sandwich for breakfast which is one of the best ever and it held us until 3'ish when visited the Tray's for cards and then a Mexican theme dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert, wow what a feast and oh so tasty.
I did catch up on some reading during the early afternoon and finished a Patterson Book and then started a Woods book before bedtime. We left for home around 8 and it was still light outside when we came through town. The place was hopping around Muddy Creek eatery as well as a band was starting to warm up at the Pizzeria. Lots of cars in town and on the highway. We tuned into the LLWS and watched an elimination game which saw Massachusetts eliminated from the tournament. The Ray's has played earlier and beat the Royals so then we got the word or text we had been exposed to covid. We let out next guests know who were coming today(Sunday) and they backed out on their visit. I don't blame them as they have a long way to go home in Florida, oh well, LATER
