Well Friday was a mixture of fun and work as we got ready for niece Kelly and family to arrive from Fayetteville which did happen around 7:30. I started the day wit my usual 6'ish roll out and then after posting this ramble Mike Bonnie and myself headed out to a long hike across the mountain. It was a perfect morning for a long hike as the temps were fine and the humidity had lessen.
I put t racks of ribs on the smoker around noon and then Mike helped me install the new umbrella for the deck which will now allow us to eat supper or whatever outside. It was easy to attach it to the side of the cabin for stability and easy for putting it up and taking it down.
I did a little burning from the left coals from the burn from the day before and piddled around in the gardens. We did some porch setting and played several games of a new game we had purchased but never played before called Skipbo.
Nancy made twice baked tatter as well as half runner beans along with garlic bread and a fresh garden salad. It was close to 8 before we ever sat down to eat and then by 10 I was ready for the showers, LATER
