Thursday Morning November 4th First Morning back in Florida

Well Wednesday started out with a 3 AM wake up, of course I never sleep very well the last couple of nights before making the 700+ mile trip back to Florida; so I was wide awake when Nancy's rooster crowed. It was cold just about freezing temps and the air was moving with a breeze which made it even colder. I had loaded most of the truck on Tuesday so I only had to empty the fridge, drain the pipes and cover up the outside unit under the porch, turn off the electrical breaker and lock up. We were off at 4AM and down the mountain. We saw no deer on the way down but did see several dead ones along I-77 on our way to Charlotte.

We made good time and the traffic was moving along at 80 for most of the way. There were a couple major truck crashes that were still being worked off the main traveled roadway into the ditches and median areas. It finally warmed to the upper 60's when we hit Georgia and the heat went off but by the time we reached Tampa the a/c was on and traffic was very heavy on into Pinellas County. We made a Sam's stop for gas at 3:15 a gallon but on the market it was at least 10 to 15 cents higher.

The yards and house looked as if we just left it as Amy and Family looked after both. I had a wet shirt by the time I unloaded every thing and loaded up the water softner with 2 bags of salt, primed the pump for the well and pumped up my tires on my bike for the ride out to the Rec this morning(thur) for some pickle ball. I changed shirts and we headed out to Culver's for a supper of cod fillets, fries and Cole slaw. It was quick and delicious. We made a stop at Aldi's which was just around the corner for some grocery items which is a lot less expensive than Publix's which is also close by. One thing about living here its 10 minutes to and from the grocery and just about every other store you need, whereas it takes about 3 hours to go to Galax and Walmart, oh well the ride is so more more beautiful there.

I hit the shower around 9 and was out like a light in just a few minutes until 6:15 this morning. Many thanks for those who prayed us home safely. Its time to have a few moments of worship here at the desk but I will surely miss my solo hike and talk with GOD in the mountains. Already I hear a car go by the house and the sirens never stop here which we didn't all summer, LATER

Just a few pics from Nancy. I can not photograph the warmth or the cold but it was 50 degrees different in the temperature between when we left the cabin and arriving at home.
