Wednesday Morning October 6th

Well Tuesday started out rather pleasant with lots of dew and some clouds and sunshine for the most part but last night the skies opened up with buckets of rain and gusty winds that sounded like the roof was coming off. There must have a been a tornado around the area at times. It's still raining this morning as I make this post but its coming in sheets where it real heavy and then none at all.

I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my routines that start with the cup of tea, sometimes is from by garden with Lemon Balm and some from the cupboard with a green tea bag while I post this ramble and some quiet time. I did do my early morning hike to the top of the mountain where I have an  out loud conversation with my Creator and Lord. I often think of Paul with a voice coming from GOD while he was on his journey and the experience he had with blindness that changed not only his mission but gave him a new one, anyhow it was grand hike in the stillness of the morning with nothing around but everything GOD made.

After my breakfast of an apple I fired up the golf cart with some tools and worked over the roots I did see in all of the yards that could become a problem when mowing. I dug and axed out several which kept me busy until it was time for our together hike to the top of the mountain. What a beautiful day for a hike and working outside. We came back and had a lite lunch of an avocado, sliced tomato and some peanut butter celery. I knew we were eating large with the Luffman's for supper with chili and beans, corn bread and cold slaw.

I spent the afternoon on the back porch reading a new Jack Reacher saga until it was time to entertain our supper guests. We didn't play any games but did face time with Caleb in Kuwait. He is supposed to get leave and be here at home around the first of November so just maybe we will get to visit with him. He has surely matured and is about two years into his enlistment in the USAF. He is ready for some cooler temps and is hoping to get out of California and maybe go to Alaska after leaving the deserts. It was a good visit with him and the Luffmans. Kay is healing nicely after her tragic accident with a wild horse and Mechelle is busy with work, as a county commissioner and into horses and now a rare breed of cats that are expensive and sought after. She has a female cat coming from Russia that she will breed and then sell the litters anywhere from 2500 to 5 grand each. She has a waiting list already for buyers.

Well I tuned in the one game playoff between the Red Sox and the Yankees and Sox's were winning when I hit the sack around 10. Who ever won will play the Ray's at home for the best of 5 games to see who eventually heads to the world series. Well today, Wednesday seems like a good day to head to Galax and the super Walmart as we have shoeboxes to fill for Christmas, supplies for the incoming guests and family and for me to get my ears lowered. I had been watering the gardens daily by hand but after the down pours of last night I'll be surprised if the garden didn't wash away, LATER

Lots more color each day on the mountain.
