Well its been busy around here with the Ross Family and a hundred plus pound puppy who is full of energy; however I must say he sleeps well at night in his cage. Sunday was a great morning with a sleep in for me until 7'ish for a change and the grandma Nancy made a huge breakfast of juice, bacon, eggs and toast. Afterwards we sort of stayed in the cabin until our 11 o'clock service on line for BridgePoint aired.
I must say it was down right cold and damp outside and I never really warmed up until we took a hike mid afternoon. We saw brief spells of sunshine until late evening when it seemed the clouds finally moved out of the area some warmth finally came back into the picture. What a miserable two days of hard rain, drizzle, fog and cold temps for the end of May. The grass and flowers seem to love this as well but my garden seeds haven't jumped out of the ground just yet except for a few marigold and zinnias seeds have sprung to life and showing some color in some of the beds.(Rocky is stamping on the ones that are sprouting)
The kiddos are having a grand time as they run and play with Rocky who just loves these cool temps. Ava Mae however did twist her knee last evening and was on crutches before bedtime. Hopefully its nothing serious. We watched the Ray's win again and the Lightning beat the Carolina Hurricanes in the first game of the Cup playoffs in the best of 7 games. We pigged out most of the day with homemade cookies and fresh fruit but ate big time for supper with New York steaks from the grille. We did play some dominos later in the evening and by 10'ish was whupped as was everyone else after the long hike to the top of the mountain. We left Rocky in his cage while we hiked as he has an old injury to his back leg; plus he runs enough around the cabin that he is getting plenty of exercise, LATER
