Well Tuesday was a busy day that started rather chilly but plenty of sunshine with a stiff breeze that kept it on the cool side for most of the day. The afternoon warmed up to tee shirt temps but as darkness fell it cooled down quickly. I started the day with a before 6 ish roll out to my usual routines of hot green tea, quiet times before heading out to work in the garage as a tech was coming to take out the now no longer working water softner and install a new one. I had to remove the dryer and get it out of the way as that corner of the garage houses the well pump, washing machine, dyer, softner and spare fridge. Anyhow I wanted to have it ready for him who was supposed to show up at 9 and dang for once he was on time. A young fellow and very informative on this new machine. He was finished by 10:30 or so and I put on a new dryer hose and cleaned and vacuumed out that corner that gets very little attention.
I headed out to work in the gardens once again transplanting some dill seedlings into pots as well as some marigolds I sowed around a couple of the what I thought was volunteer tomato seedlings into 9 packs. I pulled some weeds and grasses which grow over night and loosened up the soil around the many seedlings which are adding leaves. I noticed the jalapeno pepper has blooms and the two hills of cucumbers are holding despite these couple of cold mornings. I now have a couple of Celebrity tomato seedling popping up as well from the Burpee seeds I sowed a week ago. I will finally have at least some tomatoes if these make.
The side garden is doing great as well from recently sowed radishes, carrots and pole beans which I hope will climb on the chain link fence. The garden is about half planted with several more seedlings ready to add to 6 and 9 packs before transplanting into the garden proper. I'm noticing baby earth worms in some areas which is a great sign for keeping the soil aerated and for breaking down the compost into plant food.
Nancy finally finished her baking of 8 or 9 different cookies so she had me distribute them to neighbors. They were all pleased as was the mail man who at times acts retarded with his deliveries when we are gone for the summer, oh well. He is a friendly sort and he and Betsy have a love/hate relationship as they work out of the same post office; but he looks forward to Nancy's cookies very year.
I had to make and early afternoon bank run but stayed in the rest of the day reading. Amy came by with Eliza and Sam and they filled up on cookies as well as took a sack home for Ava and Tyler. No word on how his mom is doing except she is still in the hospital with this virus. We have to go to a meeting at our new church building this evening (WED) for BridgePoint and then on Thursday we are heading over to Brandon to help with the boys as Katie has a meeting with friends. We will eat supper with them. Friday we another basketball game for Ava and then Saturday a Christmas party at the Nymarks. We are booked up until we head to the cabin a week from Sunday. Never a dull moment in this house hold.
Well on a political note I'm now getting most of my news from Newsmax, OAN and Tucker and Hannity on Fox. It seems the SCOTUS is going to hear some facets of the lawsuits filed by the Repub's on this election fraud as now many states have joined in with the Texas lawsuit. The MSM, big tech and the dems want us to believe Biden is the president elect but that is some what unclear at this point. We are now learning more corruption is being exposed by hundreds of poll workers as well as another national security issue with several dems in the congress associating with spies from China, our fore most enemy. The very ones who accused Potus Trump of collusion with Russia which was a fake issue, now have been in bed with the Chi-Com's all along. It's no wonder they want Biden as potus as they are afraid Trump will expose their corruption. It's unbelievable this is happening to several prominent members in our gov't. Keep praying for our nation and that GOD will deliver us as he has Israel so many times in history and keep US(A) safe from those who are trying to destroy us from within, LATER
