Tuesday Morning Nov 3rd..Election day

Well Monday was a busy day after a some what better sleep. I'm still not acclimated to my new bed, sleeping conditions, etc but I'm more rested than the last couple nights after all the anticipation of leaving the cabin, driving 700 miles. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever get over those last couple of sleepless nights before traveling either to the cabin or back to Florida.

I was up around 6:30 had my vitamins and supplements and a cup of hot tea while I posted this ramble, spent some time with my Creator in thanksgiving and lifting several up by name for comfort and healing as well as our nation and potus. Afterwards I headed outside and felt the coolness in the air. It was like a spring day at the cabin with no humidity and slight breeze which we felt all day and evening. By darkness the wind made the 60's temps feel even colder as we were out at grandson Gabe's ball game in Brandon. I got chilled to the bone as I wore shorts but did bring a flannel shirt. It did reach the low 80's by the time we headed out around 3'ish for Brandon but as the evening wore on it became down right cold.

I piddled around in the back yard after a lite breakfast of back to having an apple to start the day. I need to work on these extra pounds from the summer despite all of the physical work and play there. I filled up two trash cans of clipping from the bushes and vines and managed to dig up a couple areas in the garden to sow some seeds. I'm not sure if they will make as they are last years seeds but I sowed them then covered them with chicken wire to keep the squirrels from digging them up. The garden was over grown with grasses and weeds but Tyler had weed whacked them down to the ground so it was much easier to clear the soil for planting. The soil is so sandy and no rocks so I just use a shovel to turn it over and then rake out the roots. I didn't notice any earth worms so I'll need to start watering again in hopes they will return and make the soil rich.

Nancy was off to stock up from 2 stores the fridges and cabinets. I postponed any pickle ball and may just wait as I have too much to do around the yards and gardens. Our campus pastor came bye for a visit and we learned he is giving up on our campus and changing vocations to counseling pastors. He is such a likable fellow and we love him dearly but understand since the campus has been closed and our college campus may never be open again to being open for the church activities that he must move on. He will stay in the area with his family. He is an exceptional good pickle ball player as well for just learning the game last year.

Well we got to love up on those twin boys who are just precious. They were a little taken back at first as I'm sure they remembered us but it took awhile to get smiles. They both are standing up and walk around holding on to furniture but not quite ready to walk . They feed them selves with table food and so funny to watch; both are different in how they manage to do that. Ryder fills his mouth and Huck takes one piece at a time. They eat well and manage to pick up the small pieces one at a time. Ryder loves meat and eats that first whereas Huck eats his fruits and veggies first. They both still take a bottle of formulas. Katie bundled them up and took them to the ball game which started at 6:30 and it was already dark and going to be a chilled evening. I should have known with the wind it was going to be cold after dark but did bring a long sleeve flannel shirt. Well it seemed much colder than the 60's in the wind swept playing field. Gabe played well but the team as a whole played down to their ability and lost to a traveling team which has much better players and have been playing together much longer. It was great to see most all of Katie's family but was glad when the game was over as we both were chilled and then had to make the hour trip back to Seminole. I hit the hot shower around 9'ish and was soon lying in bed watching the Bucs play the Giants.

Well that was about it for the day and evening. I have a repair technician coming out to check the new garage door which some how had a cable break on the pulley while we were gone. It's not under warranty as its been installed over two years now, anyhow I want to get the truck back into the garage once its working properly, LATER

We had a fun time reconnecting with the boys and the rest of Bobby's family. The first pic is of the boys eating their suppers.
