Well Tuesday was another work day here on the mountain. I'm catching up on all the little piddly jobs after getting the yards and gardens cleared down to passable size. We got a light shower the night before and then again during the afternoon today which cooled things down and gave the veggies and much needed drink.
I started the day out with my usual 5:30'ish roll out to my everyday routines that start with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time with my Lord and Creator in thanksgiving and lifting up several. All seem well but I got word a cousin of mine passed away unexpectedly yesterday. He was several years my junior.
I headed out to check on the gardens and found no damage from either deer or other critters of course there isn't much to eat in the garden with the seedlings being so small but the flower gardens are doing great and I'm pleased with the colors in all the beds. The circle drive is really showing some promise with the different colors on the flowering plants. I ate my breakfast of an apple while touring the yards and then had a peach. I want to shed a couple pounds especially the spare tire and stay away from the carbs except on special occasions when we have guests. Its looking like a busy July with Bobby's family coming and then several other cousins and friends as well with their kiddos. I'm sure those visits will add a little to the spare tire.
There wasn't much to write about except we did get in a hike mid morning and a golf cart ride after supper to the top of the mountain. We stopped and spoke with Billy for a few but everyone else seemed shut in for the evening. It's been rather hot and muggy so the a/c has been on which to me takes away the ambiance but you do need it at times. I stayed outside most of the day and when I get to hot I head for the basement where its in the 60's year round.
Well kind of a boring day for most but for me I love to piddle around outside, LATER
