Sorry I missed the post on Monday Morning as I overslept for a change and didn't think about it the rest of the day. I'll catch up both days in an abbreviated manner.
Sunday which I usually write about on Monday was a bit chilly especially at 5'ish in the morning as I rode by bike to the college for the load in for BridgePoint Church. The service was once again right on about relationships. We had a great crowd for both services and of course folks brought cans of soup for "souper bowl" Sunday and placed their cans in the team basket whom they supported or thought would win. Well the Chiefs basket was over flowing as I too added a case of noodle soup and I choose right as the Chiefs came from behind once again to be victorious over the 49 niners. The church had a total of over 4 thousand cans to bless the food closet with from the 4 campus's.
We had Dan and Carol for a supper of fresh salmon filet, pasta and a Caesar salad from the garden and then we watched the game together until half time and they headed for home(2 doors away). We were behind when they left and somewhat hoping the Chiefs would come back and win and they did.
Monday found me for some reason reclining in the sack until a little after 7 which gave me just enough time to do my quiet time and check the social media as well as wish son Bobby Happy Big Day as he turned 39, yikes where did that time go. I headed out to the Rec. for 2 1/2 hours of pickle ball outside on the court which was a bit chilly to start at 8 but quickly became a beautiful morning with bright sunshine and blue skies and no wind. So the play was awesome. I managed to stay on the court the entire morning changing partners after winning each set. I was either lucky, had great partners or just on for the day as I never left the court until I was totally whupped and headed for home. I left 5 other players still on the court at 10:30.
It was my day to do a good deed for neighbor Carol as her well pump quit working. Seems a lizard crawled into her switch box and shorted out the extension cord and throwing the breaker. I saw the black burned mark on the cord and decided to change out the cord and reattach all of the wiring and it worked. She was more than pleased which probably saved her a service call to an electrician. I worked outside the rest of the afternoon in the gardens and yards. It was just such a beautiful day with no humidity. I now have new lettuces seedlings showing color so it will be a few days until I move them into 6 packs before transplanting into the garden. I saw a little color on the beet seeds but I'm still waiting on the pole beans to break through. The rain and old temps a couple days ago may have rotted the seeds but after today they should starting breaking ground as the soil warmed up if they didn't rot, oh well.
Well I worked in the bay window seat area taking off the old seat and cleaning down below and actually painting the inside that no one ever sees but at least it cleaned it up. I'm putting ant poison down inside that area as it seems when the ants come in the house its through that area. The pest guy is coming this morning(Tue) to give me some granules for that area before I reattach the seat. Well that was about it for the day as we travel to Brandon around lunch time today(tue) to give Katie some respite from her sleepless nights with the boys. We will take most of the supper with us and then I'll get to go to ball practice with Gabe and Bobby who is not the lead coach this year because of the boys and his traveling but still coaches the team Gabe plays on, LATER
Nancy made an apple pie for tonights supper at Bobby's and here are just a picture of him being a cowboy and now his family minus the new boys.
