Sunday Morning...Jan 12th

Well Saturday was another busy fun filled day that saw the temps on the rise along with the humidity, yikes did it ever get warm and sticky. The a/c is back on after having a couple days of near perfect weather, oh well. I did my morning routines, quiet times and then had a breakfast of fried leftover baked tater and eggs, delicious for a change from the usual morning fare of an apple.

Since there was no pickle ball as the gym is being used now on Saturday mornings for youth basket ball and it was way too windy to play outside I decided to work out in the weight room on the tread mill for close to an hour. I left with a sweat as the incline is not like the mountains but close when it comes to working up a sweat. I ran a couple errands then came back and piddled around in the gardens hand watering. The wind was heavy all day long and I feared it may topple my 6 foot high tomato plants. It did bend several of the taller limbs down but the main plant held inside the wire cages.

Nancy was busy in the kitchen making a huge batch of ham salad to take to Bobby's, Amy's and to Dan and Carol plus we have enough for several lunches this coming week. I messed around with the new Apple TV app. that is now our mode of watching the tube and thus far I hate it. It takes a lot of getting use to but Neighbor Dan felt the same for the first couple of weeks as they had it installed in their house with Spectrum. Anyhow it is so sensitive to the touch and the remote is nothing like what we are use to, I hate it thus far. I did manage to find a couple of sports channels and did watch them for a bit before heading in to read and look for another TV for the bedroom which I'm sure I'll use instead of the one in the living room. Did I mention I hate it thus far, oh well.

I headed for the shower early in the day as we would be at our Life Group in the evening for a social which included a supper of soups and salads plus dessert. I stayed away from that table but did taste all 4 soups and a couple of the different salads. The event started at 5 and lasted close to 8:30 after a devotional time. We had close to 30 folks and played the game Bunco which is a riot which allows you to get to know those in attendance as your partnered up with different folks throughout the evening. We loved it and Nancy got the prize for the most Bunco's during the night.

Well it wasn't long after getting back I was able to get the Lightning on the tube and watched them win again in Philly with a 10 game win streak, yeow.  I was up a little after 5ish this morning Sunday as I'm back to helping with the load in for BridgePoint Church at the college. After church we will head to TGH and visit with the "boys" in the NICU unit and with Bobby and Katie, LATER

Here are the "blonde brownies and ham salad from Nancy's kitchen.
