Friday morning

Well Thursday was a work day in the back yard putting on the roof to the new shed and then building shelves and putting everything back until nearly 5 PM. Many thanks to neighbor Bobby as he helped me put the roof on until noon then I did the rest which was rather easy but time consuming. It was a rather warm day but the nice breeze kept it tolerable.

I started the day much the usual with a 6 'ish roll out to my cup of hot green tea while I posted this ramble then spent so quiet time with my Creator lifting up several by name and praying that I would be able to complete this job because the instructions are some what less than desirable and causing me some sleepless nights, oh well its just a storage shed. All seem well with those folks. I did get in some watering the gardens and front yards later in the day and the new petunias are blooming beautifully along the front of the house. The garden is loving these cool nights and bright sunshine days with temps in the 80's. Nancy has the a/c on but the humidity isn't terrible as of yet but it will soon be here and that tells me to start thinking about our mountain trek and the cabin.

There isn't much to tell except we had salmon for supper and a fresh garden salad. I gave neighbor Bobby a nice mess of lettuces and he cooks for his fire crew so I'm giving him a nice mess of collards on Saturday as they are ready for harvesting. Since I've worked in the back yard since Tuesday the squirrels have been at bay for most of the day and the tomato plants are recovering. I had to string extra chicken wire around the one row of plants as suddenly their taste for tomato's has expanded into chewing off the tops.

I stayed up and watched the SOTU address and our POTUS knocked it out of the park with a great speech and I noticed some of the liberal news papers are giving him so positive feedback. It's about time as he has done more good for the nation than the last potus did in 8 years but the dem's are pushing their radical agenda of socialism and I do think they will suffer in the next election. Let's hope anyway, they the dem's never get control of both houses and the white house or we will become like Venezuela.

I watched the Fox Cable News until the lightning game came on then I retired to the bedroom to watch it until a little after 10'ish then it was lights out for me. There was no score after two periods so I'll read about who won, LATER
