Sunday and Monday Morning

Well Sunday was a busy day that started with a 5ish wake up as I had to be at the college for the 6 AM load in for BridgePoint Church along with several other volunteers to transform the college into a church setting that starts with outside flags and markers indicating the parking places to the stage set up for the band and yesterday made it even more complicated as we had to work in the oncoming rain storm that left several of us wet despite the rain coats and umbrellas getting folks from the parking lot into the breezeway.

I worked both services but did set in on the first one to hear an awesome message on Home For Christmas. Tim is an excellent speaker and brings to light many memories from the past as well as using stories Jesus spoke about to bring to light the need to refresh our beliefs and faith in Him. There wasn't dry eye in the place me included as he spoke about the prodigal son story which he put into prospective with the waiting father for his son to return home much like the Father of Jesus who waits for our return.

We had a great turnout despite the rain throughout the morning which at time was quite heavy. It was part of the storm which left serious snow fall in the mountains upwards of 20 inches or more in some places. We looked at all of our friends pictures throughout the day and not only was it beautiful but bitter cold. I'm over those days of digging out with frozen fingers and toes. Our hope is that no one lost power which would make it even more miserable although most everyone has an alternative source of heat.

We had a light lunch around 12:30 after leaving church and I tuned into the Bucs game which was a great first half; then the bumbling began with two missed field goals which would have sealed the game for them and then the blocked punt which changed big Mo even further and they lost to the Saints in what should have been a win. We always let great kickers go for some reason and they usually win games for you in some form or fashion, oh well this is typical Buc's play.

We headed out a little before 4 and picked up the Botbyl's and headed to Indian Rocks Church where they were holding the first of two musical Christmas Concerts this day and one the night before. The 4000 seat or so auditorium was nearly packed for this hour and half performance which featured some awesome music and acting. Another first class performance and we met up with the Tracy's and their son Ryan as well. Afterwards we headed up to the Bonefish Grille in Largo for a delicious meal of grilled trout for Nancy and chowder and bang bang shrimp for me with great baked bread and a dessert for Nancy and the rest of the gang. I tasted the Creme Brolee which was great but the extra bread was my dessert. We left around 8ish and headed home to digest and it wasn't long until I was falling asleep watching another game while Nancy perused the snow scenes on Face book after the early morning start, LATER
