Well we finally got some rain which brought some breezy cool temps to the bay area. Its 46 as I make this post which is rather nice but by 10 it will be back into the high 60's or even warmer which is usually the case. I know this is a heat wave for the mountains as it's snow and ice every where with tons of cancellations and power outages and the northeast is snowed in as well. Christine our cousin flies back to Pa. this evening or at least that is the plan, we will see.
I think I'm finally getting over this chest cold and the coughing has really slowed down, thankfully. It's been a miserable couple days but I did get out yesterday morning and do some yard and garden work especially to the front yard bushes and shrubs. Everything is looking prim and proper at last. The heat has been so extreme, one just did not venture out after lunch to do any outside work but yesterday was an exception as a front moved it with a nice cloud cover and much cooler temps. I accomplished a lot. I still had a wet shirt from the humidity but at least I didn't cook in the sun.
The girls met up with Betsy just before lunch and they took off to the mall and had lunch out, then to Sam's Club and then Publix during whole afternoon so I did some hand watering after the sun came out and read for the most part of the day. They got back our supper time and we treated Chris to her first venison supper which she really enjoyed. Nancy chicken fried some cubed venison back strap steaks and they were delicious. I made a milk gravy from the skillet fixin's and it was great as well along with some fried leftover baked taters and fresh asparagus. Betsy ate with but refused to eat the venison except for one bite which she chocked down. Its all in her head as the meat was awesome so fresh and free of hormones and other stuff injected into cattle feed. Nothing but natural and organic when it comes to wild venison.
We sat around and watched the Fox News for awhile then I headed into the shower and to some football for awhile before it was lights out for me before 10. Nancy is having some symptoms of acquiring a cold as well with a sore throat and runny nose but I never had any of that as mine was pure and simple a chest cold. Today we have to be at Eliza Faye's school at 9 for a program she is in and then I'm to have a recall on the truck fixed at 11 and then we take Chris to the airport around 3'ish, LATER
Amy is back to work and is back to normal as she adjusts to this medicine she is on to help regulate her tachycardia she inherited form Nancy.
