Sunday Morning

Well Saturday was birthday celebrations for Nancy and Sam at Amy and Tyler House with Betsy coming by after work to eat. Amy had prepared a delicious meal of chicken with noodles over smashed taters, broccoli and corn and a Ding Dong cake. Wow, everything was delicious.

I started the day much the usual with my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric and it tasted great on this somewhat unusual chilly morning with temps at 52 degrees. Wow did that ever feel great which was 20 degrees cooler than all of last week when we were in the 70's at 6 in the morning. We headed out after a lite breakfast and our quiet times to Keswick School to watch Ava win her first game in the final tournament of the season in kids basketball. She scored several times and was really aggressive in her defense on the court. She is one of the taller girls and really played quite well but they lost to the best team of the season in the second game. So they placed second out of four teams which was good as there are several boys on the winning team who were outstanding ball handlers.

Tyler came by after lunch and helped me to to saw several limbs down on the backyard oak which were hanging over the roof. I have a huge brush pile in the yard that I will need to finish cutting up today and hauling the wood over to his house for their bon fires. That kept me busy until it was time to get ready and head over to the Ross's for supper. Nancy went shopping at Dress Barn for her birthday so she loaded up again with dresses and blouses. We got back to the house around 9 and it wasn't long until I was ready for some horizontal lab after a hot shower as 5 AM comes early on Sunday morning with the load in at the college for BridgePoint Church, LATER
