Well the Ross Family has arrived and are safe from this storm which now looks as if it may go up the middle of Florida. Our homes are in jeopardy of the storm damaging winds and high water as we are about 30-40 feet above sea level. Lets hope this storms energy dissipates as it heads in land.
Thursday was a much more beautiful day with bright sunshine and blue skies but the temps were in the low 40's to start the day. We did our morning routines, quiet times and caught up on social media about all that is happenings with this storm. We got ready to head to town around 10'ish with a trash stop on the way. We did make a stop for gas which has gone up 40 cents a gallon during one week. Walmart was packed with people shopping. We once again had a full cart of goodies as we stocked up for the family.
The update on Paw Paw is good as I spoke with him. He did not have to go to Walter Reed as the Cat scan was somewhat promising but he was admitted to the VA hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va. He seemed in good spirits. There was no word on GG this day but the night before she was in good spirits and resolved to the fact she was going to stay in Miami during the storm.
Nancy had a great cold weather supper of Supa Toscana soup, salad and garlic bread with homemade cookies for dessert. The kids love this soup and everyone had at least a couple of bowls. It was close to 8 before we every sat down to eat. Well after the cleanup we settled into visiting then everyone got baths and showers. The kiddos love being here and especially the stairs as they all ran up and down the stairs throughout the evening. Eliza was so fascinated with going up and down the stairs.
Well it sure different around her with three grand kiddos. Things are definitely lively and its started again around 7'ish this morning, LATER
