Sunday Morning

Well Saturday was a work day until it got too hot to do much of anything except set on the front porch and read in between naps. It got down right hot here with temps in the middle 80's but we had a nice breeze. I almost headed down to the basement which is a constant 68-70 but instead sat on the porch looking out at the natural beauty of the land.

I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to a hot cup of green tea laced with turmeric after washing down a handful of vitamins with some apple cider vinegar diluted with some water. I'm at a point I need to get rid of this chest congestion/coughing that I'm resorting to some old fashion fixes to get the body strong enough to reject this whatever it is. I'm even taking whole gloves of fresh garlic as its a natural antibiotic. I'm a big fan of onions and garlic and they are natural fighters of invasive germs and bacteria plus it helps keeps the mosquitoes away. I'm not a big fan of doctors and their prescriptions and they will be my last resort if necessary.

I did my quiet time to honor my Creator and to lift up several who are hurting and Nancy's mom GG is one of those. She is still in a Miami hospital and while she has passed the swallow test she is refusing to eat the clear diet of soups and jello. What! She is doing nothing to help us get her out of there and back to Seminole for some rehab and at times acts like a spoiled chid. We are not thrilled about the idea of going back to Miami to babysit her. We do have family who live there and they have decided to visit her daily when her son Eric leaves on Wednesday which will be a huge blessing for us until the end of the month. We are hoping the hospital will get her well enough to be released for an ambulance ride to Pinellas County to a rehab facility near our home.

Well I fired up the riding mower and cut the grass again this time wearing a mask. I think all of the pollen from the last cutting was a big culprit in this chest congestion. The deck and porches where covered in the yellow stuff when we arrived last week and I'm sure that was a huge reason to once again become congested. I spent a couple of hours mowing and by noon was finally finished. The cabin by this time was in full direct sunlight and the heat was becoming a major factor. The surrounding tall trees keep us in the shade for most of the morning and again in the late afternoon which helps to keep us somewhat cooler than being on top of the mountain.

We sat and read for nearly 4 hours with an occasional nap in between. There was a stiff breeze which kept it quite pleasant until suppertime. We heated up some leftover spaghetti and had a fresh salad for our supper. After the cleanup and and an hour to digest we took off on foot up the mountain for our daily hike. We saw a few on top and visited for a few before heading back down. The views were some what hazy due to the heat from down under which was some where into the over a 100+ heat index. We didn't get much above the middle 80's but it was hot and then became humid about dark; so we turned on the window a/c unit and let it run through the night.

I tuned into the Ray's game on the internet and once again they blew a lead only to lose for two games in a row. Our neighbor and friend Dan and Patrick where at the game. We need some bull pen pitching if we are going to compete down the stretch to make the playoffs, oh well. Today is corporate worship for us at Cornerstone Church. We were so thrilled to once again hug so many necks last Sunday and made to feel once welcome again like family. We are looking forward to honoring our LORD with our presence and to sing praises to his name with fellow Believers. What a privilege we have in this great nation of ours that was founded on the Judeo-Christian principles to worship without fear of retribution. The left secular progressives are trying their best to change our history in conjunction with the liberals in the Democrat Party and destroy those principles with their political correctness and complete disregard of those principles. We need to stand with our new president and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, LATER
