Sunday Morning at the cabin

Well I've longed for this view as I make my daily post; looking out the dining room window off into the woods at a distance but first seeing the fresh mowed grass and the blooms from the flowers that surround the back yard. I do miss the veggies growing in my raised beds. I have oregano and thyme that have come back from last year and one kale plant in the lower garden that either lived through the winter or reseeded itself, as I weed whacked the gardens yesterday. I have lots of volunteer tomatoes in the compost pile and one plant a green tomato but unfortunately there we so many weeds I didn't spot it in time to save it from the string. I do have lots of wineberries and the gran kiddos coming on Monday will enjoy picking and eating them.

This will be a short post as I did a double one last night while trying to keep my eye lids open after a hot shower. I was soon in the horizontal position after that post and finally slept through the night; wow I ever beat. Both Nancy and I have done little the last 7 weeks or so except sit by with GG in the hospitals. Yesterday wasn't a good day for her according to Eric as she slept most of the day. There was no new drain tube or any attempt at some PT as she laid in the bed all day which has been the case since May 21st. I don't know if she will ever be able to walk again as she has no muscles in her legs or arms. She is still on the feeding tube and catheter. Only the power of prayer in my opinion has kept her alive and one of the family being by her side daily.

Well we are off to our mountain church in Sparta this morning. It will be good to hug so many after such a long time and already folks are lining up after church for a lunch date with us. Sometimes I feel like a rock star when we come here for the summer. We will make a pharmacy stop, eatery stop, grocery stop and finally a veggie stand stop before heading back to the cabin sometime in the early afternoon to once again get ready for Bobby and family on Monday. We had accomplished a lot so far and the inside of the cabin was almost pristine except for a few dead bees. It looked like we had just left yesterday. Take a moment and continue your prayers for GG and for us, LATER
