Friday morning in the mountains

Well Thursday started out very early around 4'ish when we heard Bobby and Katie up doing their last minute packing for the long trip back to home in the Tampa Bay area. We were saddened to see them go especially having the grand kiddos around with so much excitement the past 3 days. It was non stop fun, eating, adventures and hikes. We watched then off down the driveway and heard from them later in the day in Florida with just a few hours to go before reaching home. We went back to bed until 7'ish.

After my morning routines that started with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric which helped with washing down my handful of vitamins and supplements. I did my quiet time after posting this ramble then perused my usual websites before heading down to the basement to deflate the mattress and rearrange the area where we had Bobby and Katie's sleeping while they were here. Nancy had laundry on the line and then we heard neighbor Gerald come in from Blacksburg. I walked down and met up with him for a few and to thank him for mowing the grass back in May. That sure made a difference with the yards when I mowed last Saturday.

I still have this crud in my chest so I'm trying not do to much to pull my energy level down as the middle of the day its quite hot in the direct sunlight. The coughing has just about gone but the voice was ragged to say the least. I'm not sure if its the pine pollen so I took a Benadryl to see if that helps but that only makes me feel worst. I did harvest some lemon balm that was growing in my herbs and made a tea last night before hitting the sack and took the last of the OTC expectorate and this morning I'm somewhat talking better with less hoarseness which is a blessing. I'm heading to Sparta this morning to pick up my leaf blower I had worked on in town and then a couple stops to the dump, drug store and grocery. We still haven't decided on our schedule for the weekend as I would like to see Paw Paw in Winchester while I'm up this way but not sure when we have to go back to Florida. We should get an update on GG as of yesterday she had a good day with the swallow tests but the fluids are still present.

Well that's about it for Thursday as it was another rather warm day here in the afternoon with the low 80's as a high and a breeze but the mornings are awesome with high 50's. The day was perfect for hanging laundry outside and I did do some piddly things. I sure miss my gardening chores but mainly the rewards with fresh home grown veggies, LATER
