Well I must say Sunday found us late in the evening under a severe weather watch with tornado's all around us after an awesome day of worship at Bridgepoint Church. We dodged any real bad weather except for some high winds and eventually we did get some rain and its windy and raining again this morning which awakened me around 4'ish. We were so fortunate the severe storms passed to the north and south of us as we watched the doppler radars pinpoint the areas of circulations. Many areas in Alabama, Georgia and North Florida suffered some major damage as this storm moved through bringing death and destruction to many and our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives and homes.
The day started much the usual with a 6'ish roll out. I did my usual morning routines before we got ready to head out around 8:45 for church. We were serving today so we wanted to be at the morning meeting of volunteers before each service. We had a packed house with several hundred in attendance and Pastor Tim's message was awesome on how to leverage your life. After the service we headed over to Sam's Club to fill up the gas tank at $2.21 a gallon as the price has dropped 18 cents in a week. We then stopped at GG's so Nancy could assist her in getting in and out of the bath tub then Nancy took off to grocery shop for her. It was after 1 before we finally got home and had a bite of lunch.
We were meeting up at the Botbyl's for a get together with the "cool peoples club" around 3 ish to watch the the playoff game(s) neither of which were exciting to say the least. It would have been more exciting if it hadn't been a blow out by both winning teams. I'm for neither team but do think the final matchup in the big game will be won by the Falcons. They took the Packers apart but Brady is a better QB than Rodgers, oh well. The occasion will give us a reason to eat, drink and be merry. Kathryn had a pot of chili simmering and we brought a fresh garden salad to go along with the dips, chips and cornbread. I've about reached my goal of 180 with 2 more pounds to go. Nancy thinks I shouldn't drop any more weight but 180 was my goal and I'm close. The cornbreads with butter and honey are my weakness so I may have picked up some weight after three muffins last night, oh well.
Today Monday we have the counter man coming with granite samples and I have some more painting to do behind the fridge and side base cabinets. I'm pleased with the overall look of the white kitchen cabinets so far but the redo is escalating into a complete remodel and the work has just begun, LATER
