Well this year is about gone with just two months left and we are just a few days more here in the mountains of N.C. I must say the Fall here has been one for remembrance with such unseasonably warm weather however the forecasters are predicting heavy snowfall whenever it does get cold. We will be long gone before that occurs but Nancy was hoping for snow before we left which did occur a couple years ago. She was like a kid in a candy store, oh well.
I started the day on Monday with getting back to my more normal wakeup around 6'ish. After my morning routines of a handful of Nutrilite vitamins and supplements washed down with a cup of hot green tea laced with the herb turmeric I posted this ramble then spent some quiet moments with my Creator. There are several I mention each day by name especially Paw Paw and Eddie who need some divine healing and of course those I know and love here and around the country. Afterwards I perused the web for my favorite sites then checked the birthdays mentioned on Facebook.
I decided that Monday would be a good day for working outside and at times I had a sweat so eventually I changed into short pants. I loaded up several empty feed sacks and a shovel after a lite breakfast and headed over to Eddie and Kimberly farm. They have several horses and their stalls are always needing cleaning out so my reward is several sacks of manure for my gardens. That kept me busy for the better part of the morning with the back of the truck loaded with what I consider gold. I spread several sacks on all of the veggie gardens as well as gave some to Nancy's flower beds. I then spread a covering of old moldy hay that was unfit for horse consumption which eventually works down into the compacted soil for compose over the winter months. I was whipped by the time I finished that job then did a few inside jobs as I worked on my leaf blower as the fuel lines in the gas tank had decayed and broken into. I will take it with me on Tuesday as we head over to the Luffmans for supper after a stop at the hardware store in Sparta for some new fuel lines.
We were having our "mountain mom" Helen and her older brother Joe for supper. I could smell the blueberry pie baking in the oven as well as the meat loaf. They like to eat early so we stopped our chores around 3:30 and got ready for their 4 o'clock visit. We sat and chatted with a glass of sangria while the biscuits baked again leaving a sweet aroma in the cabin. We sat down to meat loaf, fresh parsley tater's, lima beans, biscuits and blueberry pie for dessert, yeow what a feed that was and there is enough meat loaf leftover for cold sandwiches loaded with raw onion and mayo, one of my favorites for lunch with a pickle on the side. I'm making myself hungry as I haven't had breakfast yet, oh well.
After they left somewhere around 6'ish we cleaned up the dishes then I settled into the Fox Cable news and see where the Clinton and their sycophants are now excoriating the FBI for finally doing some investigation into their corruption where before they were praising him as a great man and director of the agency when he failed to recommend and indictment. They are such hypocrites and I do think the "chickens have come to roost" for these criminals in her family, campaign staff and media pundits who gave her the questions then lied about it during the debates. How have we the people not seen through these corrupt people and allowed them to even be involved in our government. If folks elect or they steal this election we are going to have a revolt on our hands or at least we should have one because these people are disgusting and so corrupt its hard to believe. The media should be ashamed of their awful reporting and being so one sided in favor of a campaign that is all about their getting power and retaining it for their unlawful destruction of our constitution. It's unbelievable how blind and prejudiced the media is for the Clinton's, oh well! I think we should "drain the swamp" of ALL career politicians in D.C. and institute term limits on ALL elected officials.
I tuned into the MNF and the Bears were taking it to the Viking who were supposed to win easily as all of the commentators predicted. I hit the sack at half time and will have to check the score later. The world series continue tonight (Tues) as the Cubs came back and will have another chance to even the score.
