Well Thursday was another wet day with fog and rain throughout the day. We did manage to escape the soup to Galax around lunch time where is was overcast but at least no rain or fog. The temps have dropped considerably as well with some 50's to start the day and it never got much above 70. We met up with the Tracy's in old town Galax then toured the awesome Ted Mathews Memorial Museum. This is a diamond in the rough adventure with some very interesting Indian artifacts, Civil War items, wild animal trophies and we learned that the 1979( not sure if is was 75 or 79) Miss American was from this area and there was the gown she wore on a model of herself. She was beautiful. There were lots of old newspapers, photographs, tools and turn of the century conveyances as well as the beginnings of the mechanical age for housewares. I want to go back when I can spend the whole day to peruse the two floors of items.
The day started much the usual with me as I had my cup of hot turmeric tea, posted my ramble from the day before's activities and spent several minutes with my quiet time to honor my Creator and then lift up those I know and love and especially my countrymen who serve with honesty. We who love this land need to be in prayer for our nation because if the liberal secular progressives with Hillary steal this election by hook or by crook we as a free people are doomed. We have been lied too and now we just found out that we secretly sent 400 million dollars to those who chant "death to America" in exchange for 4 American's while at the same time giving the Iranians a nuclear deal that will have them developing the bomb against US(A) and using the money to promote terrorism in the world.
We have such corrupt leaders and only with the help of GOD will we be spared from these who want us destroyed. I'm at a lost for their motives except to gain power and break our nation with huge debts and change our Judeo-Christian mores and become a dictatorial government. I see that if the left continues with the media promoting this agenda we will lose the constitution, bill of rights and any and all freedoms we have enjoyed for individual liberty. We are in a fix folks and not many take this seriously. I honestly think Trump has the gall to stand up to these who have promoted political correctness which has divided us on so many grounds as he is not afraid to tell it like it is. He definitely is not a politician and I think that is what we have been lacking and he definitely doesn't need the job or the money. Think about it folks; why do some many dislike him and I think its because he will expose the corruptness in the government especially the established elitist who have been there for themselves and not for their constituents.
We met up at the Macado's eatery for a late lunch /early supper that started with a spinach artichoke dip, yeow one of my favorites and then we had sandwiches so big we each brought half home. Afterwards we headed to Wal-Mart and Lowes for some shopping. It was after 6'ish before we headed out of town and while the skies were cloudy and the mountains covered in fog the rain stayed away for the rest of the evening. We tuned into the Fox Cable News until 9'ish then it was time for a hot shower and some reading in the horizontal lab position. LATER
