Sunday Morning

Well Saturday was almost a repeat of Friday as we headed over to Bobby and Katie's new house in Brandon with a few exceptions. It was a hot muggy day and no chance of any precipitation.

The morning started with my 6'ish wakeup despite being totally wiped out from the day before's activities. I was a a little stiff and sore in the back and knees from being on my feet and up and down a ladder while painting. But we were so thrilled with all the work we got done and wanted to help with even more as several of their friends emptied their two apartments. We had the upstairs almost completely finished with two coats of paint on everything, new electric receptacles and switches and the floors shining by the time a dozen or so men in a huge truck arrived with their belonging . I would say at one times there were over 20 friends and family gathered inside and out working on this project.

They had their new fridge, washer and dryer delivered and installed as well as some delicious Domino's pizza by lunch time. I got their huge laundry/pantry room completed as well with a second coat of paint so it was basically completed except for reattaching some of the cabinets doors. Nancy and Danielle put the kitchen together while several men cleaned off the roof and gutters. The paint colors were so pretty and bright when compared to the prior color scheme. Several were putting beds together as now each kiddo will have their own room.

Well around 5'ish we broke for supper and headed over to Katie's folks place which is just a minutes drive away. We settled into the last period of the Lightning game while they and Bobby cooked filets on the green egg. Lynn had baked spuds and a salad to accompanied these perfectly grilled steaks and we watched our team in a win 4-1 over the New York team. We also had some baked apple pie their realtor gave them when he closes on a house. It's been a tradition of his for many years. They were very good and tasty with a little vanilla ice cream on top. Katie's brother and family along with her grandfather were there as well as was Neil and Danielle. I even mustered up enough energy after eating for a couple ping pong games with Katie's dad, Bruce who is a very good left handed player. I kept the score close at times but he was just too good. Danielle and Katie found enough energy for a couple of games and Katie is a chip off the block as well. We from Seminole need to brush up on our skills and get a ping pong table.

Well after eating and sitting around visiting until dark we decided we would call it a day as I was starting to slide into a relaxing mode. We stopped by the house to gather up my tools before saying our good-bye's and heading back to Seminole. It took us about an hour to get home and we were surprised at the amount of traffic on the interstate, luckily the big back up was the opposite way we were traveling and it possibly could have been from the earlier Lightning game. We listened to the final innings of the Ray's game and they were walk off winners in the final inning. After a hot shower we were out for the night by 10:30, Later.

Don't forget to honor our Creator today by worshipping with others in the church of your choice. We are such a blessed nation despite the liberal progressives telling us other wise.
