Tuesday Morning

Well Monday started out with very chilly temps after being in the 80's for days and even weeks. It was down into the high 40's and it never reached but the low 60's for the entire day, plus the wind was blowing gangbusters which made it feel even colder. I donned my quilted shirt and hat as I pedaled out to the Rec. just after daylight and the cold wind had tears forming in my eyes as I faced the north wind.

The day started with my usual 6'ish roll out and then my morning routines of a few quiet moments to honor my Creator and to intercede for others in need of some special considerations and to pray for my country. Wow does the country ever need some real leadership as this potus has us on the brink of losing any influence in the world with Korea, China, Russia and Iran rattling their sabers while he runs off to rub elbows with a dictator in Cuba who violates all forms of human rights for his people.

We had a good group of pickle ball players with a few northerns who visit every year for a couple weeks. I got in a good two hour workout that resulted with a wet shirt then stopped by the library for a couple of new reads. I headed home to hand water the gardens as the strong wind had dried up the nice steady drenching rain we got over the weekend. The cucumber plants are blooming and really sending out runners. I've got them trained to some chicken wire on the back fence as well as the new sugar peas are filling out their pods. They are coming in just as we lose the older vines on the side garden.

Nancy was volunteering the afternoon at the program for helping to empower criminals to get back into society and be accountable for their actions. She is really enjoying helping with this program so I had the afternoon to read. I had thawed out Salmon fillets and with our new vegetable roaster for the grill we purchased at Bass Pro Shops on Sunday I loaded it with a couple of fresh mushrooms, asparagus, green beans, sugar peas, carrots, yellow squash, onions and tomatoes and put them on the grille for about 20 minutes then placed alongside on a tin foil pan a couple fillets loaded with lemon pepper, garlic and fresh dill for about 10 minutes, Yeow what a feast!!! The new roaster was awesome as it kept any of the veggies from sticking and with just the flavor of the veggies it was so good. We used no oil or seasonings in the roaster which is just a perforated non stick pan for over an open flame(grill).

Well after the clean up which was practically nothing since it was all cooked on the grill we settled into the Fox News channel. I wish this political season was over with all of the pundits having their predictions on what will happen with Trump. I'm glad he has at least awakened a lot of Americans to the corrupt system inside the beltway of D.C. Yes, the top are getting richer where the middle class is shrinking in pay with the wealth distribution of this inept potus and the congress who have no back bone to do what they got elected on and stand up for the middle class and even all Americans. I know its time for term limits of ALL offices in the government and with this revolt with Trump maybe that will happen. He doesn't need to assure himself with wealth from the lobbyists and the special big money folks who buy these elected officials while in office and guarantee himself to be re-elected. We need some real leadership who will be honest and tell us what these officials have done to destroy our economics, our morals for political correctness and caused such racial divide with this potus as well as keep us safe from the radicals and illegals, Please Vote America and keep this revolt going, LATER
