Well Saturday was an uneventful day but the weather was almost as beautiful as Friday's with the exception of some high clouds which kept the temps a few degrees short of the middle 70's. It was still good for short sleeve shirts and short pants. We slept in again until after 7 and then Nancy made one of her "mountain breakfasts" to start the day around 9 o'clock.
After the big day on Friday with the extra pickle ball play and then the race track I was still somewhat whipped and those flannel sheets still feel good with the temps into high 40's over night; so we for a change managed to sleep in. After our belated morning routines of a few quiet moments and then the posting of my ramble we decided on breakfast. We knew Eliza Faye was coming a little before 9 as this Saturday was Ava's last basketball game and both Amy and Tyler wanted to watch her play. Nancy made buckwheat cakes, fried eggs and bacon and yeow where they ever delicious. We thought Eliza would partake but she was bummed that she couldn't go to the game. She had a bagel with her which she never finished as she laid on the floor pouting the first half hour until I mentioned the puppy Roxie next door was out in the back yard. She could see her from the kitchen window so she quickly got over her pout and was soon her old self again.
Nancy couldn't get the camera and laptop to work together to down load the photos so the camera man thought it might be the USB cord, so I headed up to Staples in Largo to get one and then that one didn't work either. Finally after Amy and Tyler came back from the floor store Tyler mentioned we may need to shut down or restart the laptop and that did the trick. He mentioned sometimes that will fix a lot of problems with attachments that don't work right as the two must become synchronized. Anyhow she was able to down load many of the pictures from Friday and I will share some with this post.
Well Nancy's mom GG was singing in a supper/choral program at one of the local churches and our niece Arianne had driven up from Miami to attend the program and spend the weekend. So the girls; Nancy, Arianne and Amy along with GG had a girls night out. I was happy to stay at home and watch college basket ball and then the Lightning win again in overtime. What a thrilling game that was against a good North Carolina team. They got back earlier that I thought they would so they sat and talked and I made them popcorn before I hit the showers and then watched TV in the bedroom until 10. I was soon out by the time Nancy decided to call it a night.
Well today is a day set aside to honor our Creator with some corporate worship and we look forward to honoring that commitment where we have decided to attend when not in the mountains. I hope you who read this ramble will make that commitment as well as we need to bring GOD back into our culture and our country. We have let the few secular progressives destroy the influence of honoring GOD and his word. We once were a great nation of peoples who love our Judeo-Christian influence that promoted loving our neighbors, liberties and freedoms. That has changed so much in past couple of years that we no longer are a great nation but rapidly destroying ourselves from within, much like the once great Roman Empire, LATER
I almost forgot to mention I pulled my first carrots today and they were very nice some as long as 8 inches and big around. The Ross kiddos were so excited I had to pull several more and they ate them up. Also Bobby and Katie came by to visit for a short while as they wanted to see the new Perry baby Scarlett who is just 2 weeks old. They stayed for a short while before heading back to Tampa.
