Monday Morning

Well Sunday was an awesome day of worship at Bridgepoint Church and afterwards I helped Nancy get ready to head over to Tampa along with GG and Amy where they celebrated the wedding shower for Katie at Element Church. It was a rather hot and muggy day and finally by dark the skies opened up with some much needed rain for a couple hours.

The day started of course an hour earlier as the clocks  or the time jumped ahead by an hour. I was awakened by the alarm for a change at 6 ish as we were heading to the 10 o'clock service for worship. Patrick and Kathryn were picking us up as Dan and Carol were taking his brother Don and his wife Diane. We did our usual morning routines of a few quiet moments before eating a lite breakfast and working on some food prep for the shower as Nancy had to leave soon after getting home from church.  She had prepared two kinds of sandwiches the day before as well as a layered taco dip this morning to add to the mix. It seems they had plenty of food for the shower and she brought lots home, so we shared later when we headed up to the Botbyl's for some social time.

I spent the afternoon watering the gardens and watching basketball, hockey and Nascar on the tube. Dan brought his brother down to see my garden so I loaded them up with some lettuce, carrots and sugar peas. They have a small garden in Pa. where they live and I gave them some pointers. I also harvested another mess of lettuces for the Tracy's as well. The lettuces are starting to bolt with all this heat so I need to use it up before it gets too top heavy especially the Black Seeded Thompson brand.

Nancy got back with Amy and Ava around 5'ish. Ava had spent the night with Annsley. She dropped GG off at home as well. We were invited up at 6:30 to Dan and Carol's along with the Tracy's where we snacked on finger foods for our supper. We then got into a game of LOGO which was a lot of fun. We had to close it down early as it was getting late. Patrick pulled out the win despite the girls moving quickly up in the contest. It was a fun time and we really enjoyed Don and Diane. They have to leave this week and go back to to Bethlehem, Pa. where he is a retired police officer and she still works.

Well we headed home in a down pour, actually it was raining so hard the Tracy's drove us 3 houses down to our house. This was such a welcomed rain especially for the gardens, LATER
