Tuesday Morning

Well Monday was another hot and muggy day here in central Florida. We stayed around the home front for most of the day except for a trip to Staples and the vegetable stand for some avocados, tomatoes and sweet onions. We had the three Ross grand kiddos from 10'ish until about 2 when they headed for home. I decided after they left to work on expanding the garden in the back yard which meant I had a stack of old fencing to get rid of. My neighbor has a fire pit and she was excited to get the lumber which I sawed up into 2 foot lengths and delivered to her back yard. I still have about half of it to saw up today.

The day started out much the usual with my routines of a few quiet moments and my daily disciplines for personal growth and then the posting of this ramble before heading out to check on the gardens. Wow was it ever dry so I drug out the hose and gave it a good watering by hand . We really need rain bad and if we don't get some this week I will have to set the sprinkler in the front yard. I have some marigolds to set out but with it being so dry I would have to carry water daily. The wind has been rather strong and that causes even more drying of the grasses.

We had a good time with the kiddos and they all stayed and had lunch with us as well as did GG. Amy takes her grocery shopping on Monday while we watch the kiddos. That sure makes a difference when trying to shop with them in tow. Eliza is a mess when she goes to the store as she never wants to stay in the buggy. She is a pistol when it comes to getting her way but oh so cute.

After they left for the day I headed out to the back yard which was now in the shade and not nearly as hot. I sawed up three wheelbarrow loads of the fencing and hauled them next door. I probably have at least 3-4 more loads before that stack is gone. I use to make furniture from the fencing but I no longer have any use for it, so it has become eye sore plus it takes up about 6 feet of garden space. I have a bunch of bricks and stones too move as well as a large stump to get rid before I can workup the ground for extra garden space. Since I haven't been back to the gym since Thanksgiving I do need to do some physical work but it's been so dang hot its hard to do anything outside until late evening and then it gets dark so early. We are forecasted for some 60's towards the first of the new year and even a 30% chance of some rain. I have been catching up on my reading but I'm ready for some hard physical exercise, LATER
