Well here we are on the last month of this year and hopefully if the country survives another year of this inept potus, it will be only because of GOD's mercy. I wish I knew the real reason this man wants to see America be destroyed from within and by those who want to indiscriminately kill in the name of some prophet. We still have those in the land who have no idea the danger we are in, both here at home and abroad and they are mainly the political correct crowd found with the more liberal or left leaning idealist. Sorry about venting so early in my ramble but when our potus's biggest concern is global warming and not what's best to keep the country secure and running I have to agree with Trump; we have the biggest bunch of corrupt idiots running the nation and this potus is the benchmark.
Well I've had a lot of time to think about our nation with me being laid up due to over use of my knee. I must say it's taking much longer to get back on my feet although I have seen a small amount of improvement with the swelling. Once I can get rid of that I can start to rehab the muscles around the knee. I'm not one to lay around especially when forced to do; mainly I want to go outside and play or work or just be busy. I'm thinking hard on dropping any strenuous activity that puts pressure on the knees for a couple weeks and may have to drop pickle ball for some time to come and when I do get back maybe limit my weekly play as well. That is one of the hardest things for me as I age is the limits to my body. I've always thought and felt I could do anything physically but now I see where constant wear and tear on the knees have left me in pain and somewhat limited, oh well.
I started the day sometime around 6'ish after a little better sleeping than on Saturday night which had me awake all night. Sunday night saw me with a little more sleep and Monday night was much better. Despite laying around for most of the day with the right leg elevated I did better yet last night with the reduced pain. The cold packs are helping and I do at least 6 or 7 a day on the knee for about 20-30 minutes each plus the ibuprofen every 6 hours helps tremendously as well. I caught up on some phone calls and paper work while lying on my back. I try to get up and hobble around outside a couple times a day hand watering the gardens which by the way are really showing some growth. I did hand pick some beet greens and Swiss chard leaves to add to the salad we have been eating. As soon as I can bend this knee I want to transplant the lettuce seedlings into the ground. Luckily I already have turned the ground over with a shovel and that led to the issues with the knee being over worked.
Little Eliza Faye came for a visit while Amy took GG to the grocery store and then back here for lunch. She laid on the bed with me and watched the cartoons she loves and is she ever a wiggle worm but such a cute one. She is very smart and associates very well. Yesterday she was playing with the manager scene under the Christmas tree when she dropped the baby Jesus figure and quickly said "nighty nighty" to it. What a character she is becoming and is into closed cabinets and cupboards. When ever she is quiet you must go looking for her as she is into something which has her attention. She loves this one book that counts and she tries that as well but just not in the right order. She is such a blessing and I fear for what she may have to face in the years to come with the direction our potus is leading us or actually is not leading us with his desire to fundamentally change America as he promised in his campaign speeches.
That was about it for the day as we still have the a/c on and its still quite dry but a front is on the way that is supposed to cool things down into the upper 70's for the high and low 60's for the low. We watch the big snow and ice storms out west and in the northern part of the country and its almost hard to imagine what they are experiencing. I know the couple ice days with frost in the mountains in October gave me all the real cold weather I wanted, LATER
