Well Monday started out much the usual with a 6 ish roll out and then my routines before heading out to the rec for a couple hours of pickle ball. We had 2 courts in action but towards the end of the session I hyper extended my left knee again and will have to take a few days off as it was rather bothersome the rest of the day. I should have worn my brace to start with but failed to do so until after the pain occurred, oh well I should learned by now that some of these joints aren't as strong as they once were after being previously injured. I will probably miss the next several days of play and the Good Life Games tournament at the end of this month as well, dang!!!
I stopped off at the library on my way home and picked up the read titled AMERICAN SNIPER by Chris Kyle. It's an autobiography and he gets right into the many battles he was engaged in during the campaign in Iraq. I read nearly a third of it as its a real page turner. I understand the movie is awesome as well. Such a shame to lose his life at home after saving so many soldiers with his expertise and patriotic duty.
Amy dropped Eliza Faye off on her way to grocery shop around 10:30 and stayed outside with me until Nancy got back from the eye doctor. It seems the new lenses were not adapting to her eyes so she down graded the lenses to make them work and now she can see again clearly. Eliza and I hand watered the gardens as she just loves being outside. After Nancy rocked her for awhile she took a 2 hour nap right through lunch time. Amy brought GG and Sam and we dined on leftover soup and salad. After lunch I headed over to a neighbors to collect some oak leaves and the mulched them for my garden for next years crops. It seems all of the oaks in the 'hood have dropped their old leaves and bright new green leaves are evident everywhere. Spring has come and it's quickly turned in summer almost overnight with high temps into the middle 80's and high humidity.
After they left to pick up Ava at school we settled into reading until it was time to make taco's for supper. Nancy took her mother home and then picked up her finished glasses. We read until it was time to start supper. After the clean up I headed out to set the sprinkler on the front yards and moved it around until after 8. I settled into the Fox News channel and then eventually watched the Lightning hold on to beat the Canadians in hockey, by 10:30 I was ready for some horizontal lab after a hot shower, LATER
