Well it was nippy for most of the day unless you were out of the wind and in the sunlight. The low 40's greeted us and there was frost on a some of the roof's in the hood. The trees kept the frozen white stuff away from our roof and garden thus no evident damage. I always wondered how you could have frost which is frozen water and the temp's be above 32*; but it happens. The sun quickly melted off the roofs. I ventured out just before noon and hand watered the gardens and transplanted some lettuce seedlings into the ground. I still needed a jacket as the wind once more made it feel even colder.
We were heading to Bobby's around 2 to have the cousins play and to then have supper with him and the kiddos and give the kiddos their Valentine's bad of goodies. We had a lite lunch of salad and Nancy had cookie dough made up to bake for when we got there. We also brought garlic bread and a salad to accompany Bobby's lasagna which he had ready for the oven around 5'ish. We rode with Tyler and Amy as their SUV had plenty of room for the 7 of us. It turned out to be beautiful in the sun with just enough chill in the air to keep the bugs away and no humidity. By the time we left sometime after dark the chill once again enveloped the area but not nearly as cold as the night before.
Bobby did a wedding at 4'ish and then met us back at his townhouse around 5'ish. Nancy had the meal just about ready to eat and we all dug in to a delicious Italian supper. Wow was that ever tasty. The kiddos had a grand time running outside on the sidewalk and Eliza Faye found the carpeted steps. She had a fun time wearing us out as she made for the steps at every opportunity and for the many lego's on the coffee table.
Nancy's throbbing pain in her jaw has just about ceased but now another new catastrophe as she broke off another molar to the gum while eating. It looks as if that will need a crown and hopefully not a root canal. She is having a difficult time with her teeth as of late, oh well. The kiddos all had baths and showers before we headed out and as we decided to skip the crosstown toll road wouldn't you know it there was a tremendous backup up on I-4 into malfunction junction(I-275) due to a fender bender. That took us an extra half hour to get home with traffic backed up for miles,
but we made it somewhere around 9'ish. Eliza was asleep and Sam was nodding but Ava Mae was wide awake.
Well after hot showers I tuned into the Fox News to learn another radical Islamist shot and killed some folks in Denmark in a couple shooting events. I fear it will soon be the norm here as well as we have no leadership in helping to thwart these people. They have no tolerance for those who do not prescribe to their ideology and tenets of their religion. Watch out America as we will soon see the brazenness of those fanatics who will take to the streets to spew their hatred for anyone Christian or Jewish, LATER
