Well Monday was once again a hot and humid day and we thought surely we would get another late afternoon thunder storm but they happened all around us which is normal. We got the rain on Sunday and all around us it stayed dry. The temps reached the middle 90's once again and you didn't stay long outside unless you were in the shade.
We had a relatively quiet day until around 4 when the family began arriving for a big meal with Amy's family, Arianne and Errol and Betsy. I put marinated chicken breasts on the grille loaded with fresh rosemary, a potato casserole, fresh broccoli, carrots from the garden and a salad with crusty bread. We had pumpkin and lemon pie for dessert. Wow what a feed and we waddled away from the table. It was after 7 when everyone started to leave as it was a 4 hour drive back to Miami for Arianne and Errol and of course a school night for Ava.
I almost forgot to mention Tyler took Sam to his first baseball game on Sunday afternoon and he received a foul baseball from one of the young teenage boys sitting near him. He was thrilled and really got into the game so he brought his ball with him to show me. He and Tyler were actually shown on T.V. as he held Sam up with his ball. They were both dressed in their Ray's hats and shirts.
Well we spent a quiet afternoon after getting the house ready for company. I managed a nap and then read until the gang arrived before starting the grille. This was our final family supper here as we start to pack and get ready for leaving on Saturday morning. I'm getting excited about the trip and seeing our mountain friends as well as trips up to see my relatives in northern Virginia. I can't believe its been nearly 7 months since we said good-bye there, LATER
