Saturday

Well Friday was such a change in temps that I almost needed a jacket or extra shirt when I headed out to the rec around 7:30. A front moved in over night and the humidity moved out and brought the temps down 15 degrees or more. It felt like a spring or fall day, wow was it ever nice so we opened the windows and doors and actually kept them open into late in the evening when the house started to warm due to the family supper.

The day started around the usual 6'ish roll out for me and after my usual routine(s) of a few quiet moments and the posting of this ramble before a lite breakfast I headed out on my bike for some exercise on the pickle ball courts. While I'm still not back completely from this upper respiratory I'm starting to feel better and I only did about an hour or so of hard action with 8 other players. I did manage a good sweat before heading home around 9. The breeze was so nice keeping the air very pleasant despite the heat in the direct sunlight.

I watered my seedlings and then headed in to read until lunch time when Amy, GG and the kiddos came around noon. I've been reading two non-fiction stories about murder(s) that took place in two different eras. The first book titled THE CAST OF KILLERS occurred in the 20's with a movie director whose murder went unsolved for over 60 years. This is a fantastic read and a great investigation without the police by another film director. The second book of which I'm nearing the end is titled THE PRINCE OF PARADISE. This read is about the murders of principals in the story of the hotel in Miami called the Fontainebleau and its aftermath with relatives. This another page turner and read every word.

We had the family over to celebrate Amy's birthday which will happen on Monday. We already are doing a big supper on Monday but will then head to the library for Bobby's book signing and won't be able to do a cake so we decided to do it early. We had roast
beef with smashed taters, broccoli, carrots and salad and of course Nancy's famous chocolate cake with white icing. What a feed that turned out to be and we surely missed our son and his kiddos as he has started a new job. His family situation has not improved and doesn't look too promising at this time as he has stepped down from his lead pastor position at Element.

Well little Eliza Faye had several shots on Thursday and we don't know if she is having some reactions to them but she has been really fussy at times since then. Her little legs are bruised where she was injected so maybe that is causing her such discomfort, we are just besides ourselves trying to make her comfortable. They all headed out around 9'ish or so as she wasn't to happy. Our beautiful daughter will be 31 on Monday and we wonder where did that time go, LATER
