Saturday

Well Friday stood out as just a beautiful spring like day if you were in the mountains. A clear crisp chill in the air with bright sunshine and the birds were singing. I needed a flannel shirt as I rode out to the rec around 8 on my bike. The morning started a little later with me sleeping in until nearly 6:30 before finally arising to start the day. After a cup of hot green tea, a few quiet moments and then the posting of this ramble I had a bowl of cereal before riding to the rec for some hour plus of pickle ball with about 10 other players. The aches and pains in the back and leg are getting less pronounced each day as well as I can feel my strength returning. I even had a wet shirt from the workout. I stopped off at the library for several reads on my way home.

I hand watered the garden after hanging a load of laundry. Nancy was off to her Friday morning Bible study at SFBC until around lunchtime. Amy brought Sam by for me to watch while she and GG ran errands. He was into the ipad and the movie UP. Speaking of ipad we received Nancy's via the mail and what an unbelievable piece of technology. Tyler came by last evening and helped up to set it up and it's amazing what all this little hand held computer can do. Nancy has been wanting one and now I can see why. She took it to bed with her last night and was reading on it long after I started reading the insides of my eyelids. It's an Apple air ipad and its does everything my laptop can do and more and even faster. It was her birthday present.

Well Amy, GG and the kiddo's came for a lunch of frozen pizzas and salad. Afterwards I got into the book titled EXPOSED. It's about the life and trial of Jodi Arias. Yeow, what a read is all I can say!!! After they left around 2:30 Nancy made a birthday cake to take with us to the Tracy's House on Saturday evening. We will celebrate along with them Carol and Nancy's birthday's which are a year and a day apart with a supper at their beach condo after watching the sunset. Should be a fun evening with maybe a game or two of sequence thrown in the mix as well.

We had baked beer battered cod fish along with left over rice and stir fry for supper. We get this fish frozen from Sam's and its excellent and easy to prepare with no mess. After the cleanup we settled into the Fox news channel while we waited the Ross family to come by and enlighten us with how to work our ipad. They stayed until after 10 and we just scratched the surface on all this computer can do. We  had a grand time loving up on all three kiddo's and even took our first picture and video with Eliza being the star. Well it wasn't long after they left I headed for the showers and then read until lights out for me around 11, LATER
