Well Sunday's weather started rather nice with temps in the 60's but suddenly turned warmer and by late afternoon it had reached the lower 80's with a wind that was very strong out of the south. We could feel the humidity slowly creeping back in but for the most part it hadn't reached the unbearable state as of yet. The forecast is for rain on Monday of which we could definitely use after all of this wind yesterday and today.
We started the day around 7'ish as it was church day in Tampa at Element. After a lite breakfast we headed out around 9'ish, just Nancy and I as the Botbyl's stayed home and missed their beautiful daughter, Danielle singing with the praise band. We met our other house church couple, Kathryn and Patrick's son Ryan for the first time as he attended with them and their beautiful daughter Lauren. The Pinellas house church was well represented this morning. Our speaker was one of the elders, Kris Korte and he did a great job and there were some extemporaneous testimonies that had us in tears. It was a fantastic morning of praise and worship. Bobby will be away from his teaching and other duties for about 2 months while on sabbatical but he, Jill, Annsley and Gabe were in attendance. It was one of the most attended Sunday's in quite some time with lots of old familiar as well as some first time faces.
We ate a light lunch around 1'ish after fighting the traffic on I-4 and I-275 in Tampa. It seems every Sunday there is a bottleneck with stop and go traffic about the same place despite 3 and 4 lanes for traffic. I chilled watching the Cavaliers from my home state of Virginia beat the Duke team in basketball from N.C. The Gators from Florida had a tough match with the Kentucky Wildcats as they barely scrapped out a win as well after being ranked the #1 team in all of college basketball. The Rays were on T.V. in pre-season play and they were beating the Red Sox's pretty convincingly.
We initially were going to eat out on the way home from church but decided to take Nancy's mother out to chili's for the chicken enchiladas around 6. We had a sumptuous meal and over ate for that late in the evening; for some reason I don't enjoy eating that late anymore whereas I use to love to go down to San Francisco and eat supper at 8 or 9 at night and then dance until the wee hours of the morning. I hate to admit it but it seems I don't even like to drive late in the evening anymore. I think "father time" has arrived at the back door but I do like to get up early whereas I use to like to sleep in; so maybe that is the trade off, oh well!!
After dropping off GG from our supper out which by the way we all had the same meal except I had the green chile sauce instead of the sour cream on my enchiladas, I read until 11 and then it was lights out, LATER
