Tuesday

Well as much as I complained about the wet cold temp's I kind of wish we had a little as it turned extremely hot and humid it seems all in one day. I stayed in during the early afternoon as it was just too hot to do much of anything outside until later in the afternoon. This weather is so unbelievable for the first week in February. There is snow and cold in the northeast, mild temps in the mountains of the Carolina's and summer weather here in Florida.

The day started with me rolling out around a little before 6'ish. I did my usual with a handful of vitamins and supplements, a cup of hot green tea, a few quiet moments and then a lite breakfast before pedaling out to the rec on my bike for some 2 plus hours of pickle ball. Despite resting for the past couple of days I still wasn't up to par on the court as I tired more easily than I'm use to and by 10 I was bushed. I did have a wet shirt and it felt good as I rode home in the high heat, Yikes I'm already thinking about the mountains and the cool mornings in May.

I did hand water the gardens and then hung a load of laundry as the hot temps were awesome for drying clothes on the line. Amy, GG and the kiddos were coming for lunch so we got ready for them after Nancy got back from the rec. We had smoked turkey roll ups or wraps and they were delicious with pickles. After lunch GG and Amy headed out to the grocery store for some shopping while we babysat Sam and Eliza. Eliza is just such a good baby and rarely fuss's. We love to sit and watch all of the expressions while she sleeps and she looks so much like Ava at this age.

Nancy took GG and did some Valentine shopping for the grand kids on their way taking GG home. I headed out to the garden as the sun finally got off one area so I transplanted a dozen kale seedlings that were growing at random in Dan's garden from where he scattered some seeds. My kale seeds were dead so I was without this very healthy green veggie. I picked more green beans and there seem to be several little ones that hopefully will mature. The sugar peas are blooming like crazy and I noticed a dozen or so had set pods, so we will have a ton of these as they are tasty in a salad as well as in a stir fry.

That was about it until supper time as we read until I grilled a couple bone in pork chops and we finished the collards and black beans and rice from the other night. Those collards are the best tasting especially after setting a day or so in a good broth. Well after the clean up we tuned into the Fox News channel and learned the potus(president of the United States) has blamed Fox News for all of his scandals and his poor ratings. This man is such a fraud and so narcissistic it's just down right laughable. He has never accepted the fact his failed policies are hurting the country both foreign and domestically and now with this interview with O'Reilley the people see what a slippery leader he is. No wonder know one is responsible for their actions because he is their best example always blaming someone else. First it was Bush and now it's Fox news. This potus is the worst ever and even Jimmy Carter is starting to look good compared to this man.

Well it wasn't long until I was reading the inside of my eyelids and turned the lights out around 10:30. I almost forgot to mention today 33 years ago my son Bobby was born. He has been a blessing beyond words and I'm humbled and honored to call him my son. His life's work is under attack so if you find the time to remember him in your thoughts and prayers please do so. Element Church is bringing GODS words of love to that group in a special and unique way so there are spiritual attacks upon his family, LATER
