Monday

Well Sunday turned out to be everything but a sunny day. The morning saw sprinkles and by the afternoon it rained in buckets at times. Did we ever need some of that rain and by late afternoon the temps dropped considerably. We turned the a/c off but never opened the windows. Nancy donned a sweat shirt while we ate supper.

We had Annsley and Gabe until nearly 2 PM as Bobby and Jill got a late start from their island getaway. Seems they had an interesting week end stuck on a sandbar at one time for a couple hours as well being housed in a beach shack that had an outdoor shower. Bobby said he felt the walls actually move in the wind it was that much of a shanty. We had a grand time with the kiddos as they both slept in until nearly 8. We fixed a large breakfast of cakes, eggs and ham and then they played together until lunch time. This was the 5th Sunday and there was no gathering at Element as that has become designated as house church Sunday. The kiddos had a great time and of course their dog Sugar was no problem at all. She is well mannered, quite smart and once in her cage for the night never made a peep.

After they headed out for Riverview I watched some really good football for the last regular season game all except for our hometown team which stunk up the T.V. Luckily there were other good close games on a different channel so that made up for the terrible play we had to watch by the Bucs. Looks like our second choice of teams the Panthers have a shot at the big game as they have a bye in the first round of the playoffs. We had skipped lunch due to the big breakfast so we ate some left over Christmas day dinner; sliced roast beef, mashed taters and gravy and canned peas. Yeow that was tasty as the day it was first prepared. The rain stopped just before dark and the skies cleared and it's supposed to be cooler for the rest of this year(2 days away) before the heat and humidity come back into the forecast. Well that's about it for this last Sunday of 2013, LATER
