Monday

Well once more it was another hot day in sunny Florida and it doesn't look as if that will change any time soon. We are hoping for at least to turn the a/c off for Christmas but that is looking doubtful as of right now. The temps for the cabin is calling for below freezing as the high for the day, oh well I guess I should be thankful I'm not there.

We started the day much the usual as we got ready for worship at Element Church in Tampa. After our morning routine we headed out with Christmas cookies for Bob and family. That just about wiped out the many dozens Nancy baked last week and I'm not the least bit sad as they have added to my girth. One more week of  delicacies and then I can go back to normal eating. I love this time of the year but all of the snacks, finger foods, soups, cakes and cookies and then heavy eating for Christmas Day dinner just seems to add to my spare tire which will take at least a couple weeks and lots of pickle ball to work off, oh well!!!

Bob had another awesome message about the birth of Jesus, the prophecy and the circumstances surrounding the event. The music was inspiring as well. We headed out shortly thereafter for Seminole for a lite lunch before heading down to the local nursing home to assist with pushing the infirmed to the church service at 2 PM. We had a large number of wheelchairs we pushed to and from the service. We got back around 3'ish and I watched our bumbling Bucs lose another game they could have won except for some penalties and down right poor play. We only have to watch them lose one more game for the year as the season will finally be over and the playoffs begin.

We headed out a little after 6 to our newest house church members Patrick and Kathryn's condo on the beach for an open house. There were lots of their neighbors as well friends from their past and we enjoyed finger foods, shrimp, wings, dips and an assortment of good eats. We got back around 8 and I settled into some football until it was lights out around 11, LATER
