Tuesday

Well Monday was much a usual day with nothing really exciting happening but we did hear some good news about our friend Joe who is our "mountain mom", Helen's older brother. He is out of the hospital, eating regularly and on his way to recovery after gall bladder surgery. It seems his bowels are working again after being asleep. We are thankful for that good news and once again thank all of you who remembered him in your thoughts and prayers.

The morning started around a 6'ish roll out to a cup of green tea, a few moments to give thanks and reflect, the posting of this ramble before heading out on my bike for a couple hours of pickle ball at the Seminole Rec. We had a good crew of about 10 to 12 players some coming late and a few leaving early, but by 10 AM I was bushed. I think giving blood the day before drew down on my strength as at times I was winded. We had some good matches and lots of wet shirts.

I stopped by the library for a new read titled LOST GIRLS. It's a true story about the girls found murdered on a Long Island beach and the crimes have never been solved. It's a good read and well written about those girls lives and the lifestyle that brought them to their demise as many were in the night life of prostitution.

The garden is doing well with carrots now poking through the ground. They should do well here in this sandy soil also the teardrop tomatoes have little ones showing as well as the new lettuce seeds I sowed a couple days ago are showing some color. I have cukes up and hope to transplant them in a day or so as well.

Amy and Sam picked up GG and brought her for a lunch of tuna fish and salad. It was rather hot and muggy so we stayed indoors after eating and then Nancy took GG shopping when Amy left for home. I spent the rest of the afternoon reading and resting from pickle ball. We decided to clean up the leftover pork roast dinner from last nights dinner for supper and wow was it still ever tasty. After the cleanup we tuned into the Fox News and then I meandered into the bedroom for football until 11. The Panthers were winning when I shut the lights off, LATER
