Well this time last week we were on our way down off the mountain heading towards warm sunny Florida after a below freezing start. The cold weather sure made it easier to leave our friends and the cabin as we yearned for warmer temps. This morning is the second morning here in Florida we have turned the a/c off due to a cold snap that came through; however its expected to once more reach the low 80's today after a chilly start.

I started the day off once again with the internal alarm clock waking me around 6'ish. After a spot of green tea I posted this ramble then spent a few quiet minutes before heading out to the rec for some 2 1/2 hours of pickle ball. I found the center stanchions for the portable nets once more back in the carrying bag in the equipment room. I spoke with the rec attendant and let him know the 2 missing pieces were back and then he told me why they were missing. Seems a player took them home to modify them so they could be used in either net set up by drilling a hole in the stanchion. Oh well at least we have them back and the director was not to pleased with his action.

We had 2 full courts going with a couple waiting to get on for most of the morning. Once more the wet shirts were evident to the good workout we were having. I could feel the good ache from 3 full days of play in the legs and back by the time 10 AM rolled around. Today Friday will be my last play for a couple days as we have plans for Saturday morning which the rec has let us PB players have that time slot as well and I'm sure the rest will be good. We have several days we will miss as the rec will be closed starting with Thanksgiving, Christmas and then New Years, oh well.

Amy and Sam picked up GG and they came for a lunch of leftover pizzas and salad. Afterwards Sam and I headed out to the back yard where we worked on his t-ball hitting. He soon lost his enthusiasm as he just wanted to watch me slam the ball. He is more into his "inventions" with the dead sticks he finds in the yard from under the big oak tree. The weather was gorgeous for being outside as the gals all had long sleeve shirts on due to the breeze. They headed out around 2:30 to pick up Ava and return GG to her house.

I picked up GG again for supper around 5 PM and we had baked chicken with baked sweet potato and sauteed yellow squash and onions, yeow was that ever delicious. After the cleanup Nancy drove her home and I vegetated watching Fox News until it was shower time after O'Reilly and then it was lights out for me shortly thereafter around 10. The extra days of playing hard caught up with me as I tried to read for awhile, LATER
  .....Just an update on Joe as he now has 'sleeping bowels" which has resulted in more IV's and a longer stay in the hospital, keep him in your thoughts and prayers!!!
