Saturday Morning..Feb 29th Leap Year

Well Friday was a busy day that started with a before 6 roll out to a crisp cool morning but it did eventually warm up enough that 5 of us pickle ball players headed outside after the gym began to fill with too many players many of whom were less experienced than us. We played outside until 10:30 with some good play and I left with a wet shirt despite the cool morning as the work out was that great.

I started the day with my usual cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then lifted up several by name to my Creator and Lord for healing and comfort. We were heading out later in the evening to a memorial service for our dear friends and neighbors dad, Don Botbyl who passed a few weeks ago. Most of his family lived out of town and they had a very nice family and close friend oriented service for him. He was a warrior for Jesus all his life and he was responsible for many giving their lives to Jesus. His wife preceded him in death year or so ago. Don had reached the age of 90 but suffered greatly his last few years with poor health and it was a blessing he finally passed on to heaven.

After pickle ball I piddled around outside in the garden until Nancy got home from her Friday Bible study at SFBC a little after noon. She had a stuffy head and ear condition which made her feel unbalanced so I drove her to the post office after lunch in regards to her passport application which had some unanswered questions; but the agent was busy so we came home and decided to wait until we heard from the state dept. which she did get a call later in day about the application. It seems they failed to notice one of the adjoining papers and now think her application is all set for the issuing of the passport. That was an answer to prayer.

Well it did warm up some what to the middle 50's but cooled down again after dark. The mountains where the cabin is located is covered in snow with cold temps; maybe they are finally getting some winter weather as Spring isn't too far off, LATER

A couple new pics of the "boys" and not sure what Nancy was portraying with the living room photo.

Friday Morning ..Feb 28th

Well it seems winter is back in Central Florida for at least a couple days. That front which gave us some rain also brought some much cooler temps; it's actually down right cold outside with the stiff northern breeze, Oh well.

I started the day on Thursday with a before 6 roll out to my usual cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem as well as can be expected at this point in time. I'm still doctoring this pulled muscle in the shoulder blade area which is a constant duh ache. I still did not let it keep me from playing pickle ball for two solid hours and then hoeing and pulling weeds in the garden until lunch time. After lunch I laid around with an ice pack on the affected area and finished reading BLUE MOON by Lee Child. A good exciting action packed read with the usual ending of Reacher helping out a couple who were being wronged by the bad guys and him leaving once again alone after an affair with one of the gals who became a partner in his making right versus the wrong. Sort of reminds me of the Lone Ranger minus the affair.

There isn't much to right about except Nancy shopping again alone before lunch and then her neighborhood walk later in the evening wearing her new coat she bought for the Alaskan trip next September. She came back after the chilly walk sweating as the coat from the Duluth company is definitely the real deal about keeping you comfy in the cold temps. We had the leftover steaks from Tuesday done up as fajitas with sauteed onions and peppers, yeow was that ever delicious with some fresh chopped jalapeno, salsa and sour cream.

Nancy headed out around 8 to pick up grand daughter Ava from basketball practice as Eliza heads for bed around this time and Tyler is teaching ESL at their church. It's once a week and helps out that Ava can now attend this class at Amy's alma mater. There was a town hall meeting with one of the liberal dem's on Fox so I headed into watch some You Tube videos about a young couple who travel world wide with their pup. The title of their adventures is TRIPPED. Their photography and self made videos are exceptional especially their Alaskan RV trip where they did the bear watching, halibut fishing and kayak expedition. Beautiful scenery and we are looking forward to seeing some of this come September as we take a cruise into that country.

Well our Lightning lost again at home after winning so many in a row. I'm not sure of what is happening to the team but some changes need to be made if they expect to make the playoffs again, LATER

Thursday Morning...Feb 27th

Well can you believe this month is nearly gone and we are getting much closer to heading back to the cabin in about 4 months; hopefully around the end of May or the first of June. Wednesday saw us once again with rather moderate temps, lots of humidity and eventually some much needed rain fall throughout the late afternoon and evening. The garden loves these temps and of course the rain.

I started Wednesday much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric. I'm still nursing this muscle pull in the scapula area(shoulder blade) of the back. I'm taking some Aleive and using ice packs through the afternoon which seems to help. I'm still playing a couple hours of pickle ball which I probably shouldn't because its my right shoulder but I've had this happen before over the years and I'll work through it; its just annoying and a dull ache.

I did my usual routines of a few quiet moments to give thanks to my Creator and Lord as well as lift up several. I lost and old trooper buddy who was 10 years younger to cancer and as I remember he was a big user of chewing tobacco. I'm not sure that it was the cause but it was one of the reasons I quit many moons ago. Everyone else is holding their own as far as I can tell. I got in two good hours of pickle ball play outside with 4 other guys. We are evenly matched had left around 10 with a wet shirt and worn out bodies. I'm the oldest guy there but so far I can hold my own with a couple of the younger fellows.

I got back to the house and piddled around in the garden. The lettuces are really looking good and I should start harvesting in a couple days to add to the salad bowl. The new cucumber vines are sending out runners and should start climbing the chicken wire I nailed to the back fence. The sugar peas are exploding with fruit and blossoms. I'm getting ready to resow some radish seeds as soon as the moon goes to dark. Everything is looking good even the new pepper plants are loaded with blossoms and fruit. The recently transplanted beet seedlings are going to make except for a couple real small seedlings that the neighborhood cats like to walk on during the night.

We had our big meal at lunch time due to Nancy's Bible class in the evening and that was one of Marie Callanders chicken pot pies which is awesome in flavor along with a fresh garden salad. I did clean my grill out as it wasn't functioning proper the other night when I attempted to grill steaks which I eventually did but not to perfection, oh well the food was delicious despite no grill marks which I love to put on the meat from a hot grill.

Well I started a new read by Lee Child titled BLUE MOON. I did about half of it on this rainy afternoon and evening. He is a good writer and Jack reacher is a hero of mine at least in his vagabond sort of existence. I tuned into the FOX CABLE news channel and caught up on what the socialist dems are trying to do to our nation. It's laughable at the idiots they are putting up as candidates to lead this nation into destruction and then supporting outright communists dictators like Castro who has destroyed Cuba. The msm is complicit with them as well and are truly enemies of this country, oh well, LATER

Wednesday Morning...Feb 26th

Well Tuesday was a non stop day that started with a before 6ish roll out to my usual routines that start with my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I post this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting up several for comfort and healing. All seem well as can be expected and now I'm needing some healing on a pulled muscle in the shoulder blade area which is aggravating to say the least. I'm able to function but this dull pain is rather constant and one I've had before many moons back. It seems I pulled it while stretching around in the front seat of the truck to the back seat, oh well.

I headed out on my bike for the Rec. to get in nearly an hour and half of pickle ball before we left for Bobby's in Brandon around 10'ish. We were watching and giving care to the "boys" for the rest of the day an evening while Katie got a break. She even brought then out around 6'ish to watch Gabe play in his first game of the season which was cut short by rain, but they won 10-5 to start the season. Gabe was the last pitcher of the evening and he did score a couple times despite the wet field.

The "boys" love to be held and we did that from time to time. They are doing so much better with their reflux especially little Huck who is now over 6 pounds. Ryder is over 10 pounds and they are being awake much more during the day and are getting stronger daily. We really enjoy the time spent with them but not the drive over and back which on a good trip takes at least an hour. The road traffic is unbelievable with back ups and lots of road construction on both the interstates and the toll roads. It was after 9 before we got back to the house and hit the shower. I did watch the ending of the Lightning game and that was their third loss in a row after a team record wins of a dozen straight games.

Well that was about it as I soon was ready for some horizontal lab after a run down on the shoulder blade with some Bio-Freeze ointment and a couple Alieve which I seldom take. This muscle is more annoying than anything and I refuse to quit using it, LATER

A couple ball game pics of Bobby and Gabe and one with Annsley. Gabe is pitching in one and on third base with Bobby coaching in the second.

Tuesday Morning..Feb 25th

Well Monday was the result of a night from "hell"which actually started Sunday evening when Nancy started her drinking of the fluids to clean out her intestines. She was on the throne constantly for nearly 10 hours. It was miserable and she said that was her last ever of going through this procedure. I of course did try to get some rest but very little despite heading into the spare bedroom. I took her to the clinic around 7'ish and left her which was just 10 minutes or so from the house and came back and stripped the beds; washing sheets, mattress pads and towels and then vacuumed the house as she was having her brother and the Ross Family for supper. Which may have been a poor choice after getting no rest the night before but the supper went off well and everyone seemed pleased with the steaks, baked taters, collard greens and roasted beets and carrots from the garden plus a salad.

The results of both the endoscopy and colonoscopy for her were good except some redness in the stomach which the doctor thinks she needs to take some pepcid for the acid; but nothing serious which was an answer to prayer. She is a coffee drinker which I think causes the acid irritation but that is one thing she will not give up. Any how we had a grand time with all the family here and once again prepared way too much food which means we won't have to cook for a couple days. betsy came by and ate as well and took a plate home for Gus. It wasn't long after the clean up I was in the hot shower and ready for some horizontal lab which happened just before 10, LATER

Monday Morning..Feb 24th

Well Sunday was a funday to start with and ended with being up all night with Nancy as she prepared for her colonoscopy early this morning (mom.) I started the day with a 5'ish roll out  and headed to the college for the load in for Bridge Point Church. We never made it to the service as we had to be down town in St.Pete for Annsley gymnastics competition around 10'ish. We did catch the service on line before heading out.

The Trop is where the Ray's play baseball and its a huge facility and very nice inside especially during those hot humid summer days and nights  and especially the rainy season where the mosquitoes carry you off when outside after dark. I have no idea why some folks want an outside stadium when this one has a/c and very nice inside. The place was packed with 6 countries and 30 states having competitors in their various classes. Ansley did great and won her class on the uneven bars as well as an all around score ribbon. She preformed on the dance floor, uneven bars, the vaught and the beam. She is a natural with her small size and flexibility. We were there until 2'ish before heading home.

Friends from church came by and wanted to start a garden and take a look at mine and I blessed them with lots of fresh veggies; 2 types of kale, Swiss chard, collards, beets, sugar peas and egg plants and some dill and cilantro. I also gave then some earthworms to start their garden and some pointers of what I found works best here in Florida. After they left Nancy around 6'ish started her procedures to cleanse her colon which kept her on the throne ALL night long. I headed for the spare bedroom around 10'ish and managed a little sleep but checked on her throughout the night, LATER

Sunday Morning ..Feb 23rd

Well Saturday started off with the heat on here in usually hot Florida. Last week we were running the a/c non stop as it was almost like the summer doldrums and I was dreaming of those crisp cool mountain mornings but not yesterday as it was close to the 30's, but eventually by noon it was short sleeve temps with bright sunshine and for a change no humidity. We headed to Tampa round 10'ish and spent the rest of the morning carrying for the "boys" as Bobby had Gabe at the ball park and Katie was at her niece's dance recital. We all eventually wound up at the ball park where the opening ceremonies for the league started with all of the teams represented from the little guys up to the larger boys teams.

Nancy made a nice semi-mountains breakfast of fried left over taters, eggs and toast. I'm usually having an apple for breakfast on my pickle ball playing days but the eggs were delicious with a chopped jalapeno pepper and hot sauce and some pumpkin butter for the toast. We got ready and headed out shortly after the cleanup. I harvested a nice mess of collards for Katie's family and the we headed out.

The boys were doing great and we fed and held them until it was time to head out to the ball field. Katie had them bundled up in their little baseball outfits in their double stroller. Gabe was decked out in his new uniform and he did participate in the pitching contest but didn't make the finals. He will with more experience due well as he gains strength and accuracy with age. We stayed until nearly 3'ish then headed out for Seminole with both Annsley and Gabe who were doing sleep over's with the Ross kiddos. Annsley has a gymnastic competition this morning at Tropicana Field in St.Pete around 10'ish so we will head there and miss our church service this week. I did go there this morning at 5'ish and help with the load in and set up. We will miss our Sunday Morning church family and the message but will worship later as we watch the message on line.

We did go back to the Ross's for a supper of burgers and tater tots around 5:30 and stayed visiting until close to 8. Annsley and Ava were at a youth function with SFBC that started around 4 and lasted until 8 as they visited several fast food places. That was about it as we got back to the house a little after 8 and watched some Fox News before calling it a day for me around 9'ish. I did watch a little of the Lightning game but they were losing 4-3 when I shut the lights off at 10, LATER

A few pics from the ball park on Saturday afternoon

Saturday Morning Feb 22nd

Well we got some winter weather again here in what was hot humid central Florida. I actually have the heat on this AM(Sat) to take the chill off the house per Nancy's request as her thermostat is very touchy. She needs a/c almost immediately when flushed and then heat in the same way when the least bit chilled. I think the house is perfect at 70 on a cool morning, oh well.

Friday found me up at my usual before 6;ish roll out to my routines that start with the cup of hot green tea. We had the a/c on until this morning when a front came through dropping the temps down into the 50's with gray skies and some wind. We were heading out a little aft 8 for Keswick school for grand parents day for Eliza And Sam, so there was no pickle ball but I did get in an afternoon several miles bike ride through the hood after lunch. The school program was very cute and afterwards we each headed to one of their class rooms; Nancy went to Eliza's and I to Sam's. I heard awesome things about Sam a he was such a gentleman around his classmates and very considerate as well as talented.

We took them both out of school for the day and then stopped at Chick fillet and brought a sack full of their fav's home for lunch. I opted to eat tortilla soup since we had a huge bowl leftover from this past week. It was delicious on this cool overcast day. We taught Sam to play Kings on the Corner as we waited for Tyler to come along with Ava and take them home for the afternoon since Amy was still at school where she now works to help offset the school tuition for the three kids.

I headed out after they left for an hour long bike ride and the wind coming out of the north was very chilly. I decided after hand watering the gardens to finish Madame Fourcade's Secret Way which was an awesome read about the French resistance to the Nazi's in WW 11. She was a great leader of the Alliance despite so many setbacks and harrowing escapes throughout the war period and afterwards. Those French as well as British who managed to spy on the German regime and their activities helped with saving so many lives but hundreds lost their lives in the effort. Some of those who managed to survive told of the executions of their fellow spy's in vivid detail. Some bodies were recovered after the war and reburied in honor for their effort but many were sent to the death camps and burned like the millions of Jews in the ovens. Many were just never heard of again as the Nazi's destroyed most records of their vile deeds.

We headed out around 4'ish for Keswick School to watch the girls varsity basketball game team play in the regional finals and they destroyed the other team 51-10. This was the coaches 600 victory for the school. I noticed an older man wearing a USAF hat and struck up a conversation with only to learn he once lived in our neighborhood and remember me as a trooper. His grand daughter played on the other team. He knew of Nancy but mostly Betsy who he went to school with. We left there and ordered a pizza at a new small eatery on the way home which is near our 'hood. It only seats about 30 folks or so and it was turning away folks and no tables were available. The large pizza was very good and I have enough leftover for lunch. It's a mom and pop place and everything is prepared to order by real Italians.

After a fresh salad and a couple slices we settled into the Fox Cable News until I started dozing around 9'ish and then headed to the shower and soon some horizontal lab, LATER

Friday Morning Feb 21st

Well Thursday was another busy day that started with the usual roll out before 6 and to my usual routines that start with the cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting several up by name for comfort and healing. We did lose an old family friend of the Everett's and whom we haven't seen in years. He was 87 but suffered from dementia and Alzheimers disease. Most everyone else including Betsy's husband Gus is now home after a stay in the hospital due to an infection which killed an old friend of ours a couple years back. Everyone is holding at this time.

I headed out on my bike a little before 8 for 2 plus hours of pickle ball with the advanced group pf players as we had the gym for the first 2 hours. The play was awesome with great rallies and I left with a wet head and shirt. I'll not be able to play again until next Tuesday as we have grand parents day today(Fri.) and then Nancy has her colonoscopy on Monday, oh well. I'll survive but I'm engineered for that activity on a daily basis. I'll have to do the treadmill in its place.

I piddled around outside in the yards and gardens hand watering and transplanting the beet seedlings into the garden. They looked good and I hope they make. We had fresh sliced cooked beets for supper and they are delicious as well as the beet greens in a salad. Betsy stopped by and had supper with us as well on her way home from work. They were making plans on how to attend the funeral today along with Eric their brother who is coming also on his way back from Miami. He was supposed to stay with us but has now changed plans to stay with his friends. Nancy wasn't too happy about that change of plans as she waited up until after midnight when she got word he wasn't coming. It's really better he doesn't because this weekend is full with activities before this funeral came into the picture.

Well we watched the Fox Cable News until it was shower time for me. Trump was holding back to back rallies out west and he had as many outside as in the arena. He had the crowd fired up and I love it as he speaks the truth about the corrupt dem's and their failed candidates. I'm hoping we send all of them packing for good in November, LATER

Thursday Morning ..Feb 20th

Well this month is just about gone as well and I noticed this is leap year so there are 29 days which happens only every 4 years. I often wonder how in the world that was decided in the first place to add an extra day to a month every 4 years, oh well. It sure messes up folks born on that day to say the least.

I started the day on Wednesday with my usual before 6 roll out to my usual cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then enlisted my Creator and Lord to hear my prayers of thanksgiving and lifting up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem as well as can be expected as I've heard nothing to the contrary. I got ready and headed out a little before 8 on my bike to the Rec. for some pickle ball. Wednesday is one of those days where there is an abundant turnout so after a couple of sets, 4 of us headed outside despite the low clouds and threat of rain to play outside. We got in one set then it began to sprinkle and playing on a damp wet court is not worth the risk of slipping and causing an injury so we quit. I headed into the weight room as the gym was full of less experienced players and did a mile and half on the treadmill in the uphill position. That was a good workout but rather boring.

The rain ceased by the time I left the Rec. so I headed home to work outside in the gardens until lunch. I noticed several potato plants had sprung up from the area where I compost so I dug them up and replanted them in several places giving them a little fertilizer to help with their maturing. I never grow taters here but the sprouting of plants from peels tells me the ground is perfect for growing. I did take out two of the original tomato plants that I brought back from the cabin which had died. I thought sure the nematodes has attached to the roots but they looked rather clean despite the plants dying. I'm not sure what caused that but we did get a few fruits from each plant.

I hoed and pulled weeds which kept me busy until lunch time. The humidity was very strong and I had a wet shirt before long. The seedlings look great and are putting on leaves and the beet seedlings look as if they will make it as well. I pulled a couple nice beet while weeding them so we will have roasted beets with carrots for supper tonight. I pulled the leaves and put them in the salad bowl as well.

Nancy wanted to eat the big meal of the day around 1'ish as she had her Women's Study group at 6:30 and since she is having tummy issues we ate early. We had left over tortilla soup she made on Tuesday and it was delicious to say the least. I headed out after lunch to run some errands at Sam's, Lowes and Aldi's before calling it day. I read for the next couple hours and this book is non fiction based on the resistance in France against the Nazi's in WW11. It's titled Madam Fourcade Secret War and its a page turner as she led the resistance along with Britains help in defeating the Germans. It's a fascinating read and because she was a woman in a man's world which many in the cause did not know, makes it that much more intriguing. I'm about half way through and it getting more realistic with each time she and her accomplishes are captured and tortured by the gestapo in their attempt to squash the intelligence being sent to England.

Well that was about it for the day except we watched the History Channel's last 2 hours on the "Washington mini series that started on Sunday. What a good series on the man who was noted as the Father of our Country as president twice and he was responsible for the defeat of the British in a 7 years war as we became an independent nation. We had the pleasure to visit Mount Vernon many moons ago and the crypt where is in interned with Martha. It's a beautiful house and plantation on the water and where he came to die at the age of 67.

Well after she left I watched the Fox Cable news and see where our potus is making right so many injustices in the judicial system with commutations of unfair sentences for many who where political prisoners which I think Roger Stone should be given a fair trial instead of the one he was used to make a statement by the corrupt dems in their attempt to take down this potus with the Mueller fiasco. I did watch the first half hour of the Arizona rally with Trump and he has that area of the nation fired up against the vile dems who want to undo all that he has done for the nation. How anyone could vote for these dems is beyond by comprehension, LATER

Wednesday Morning Feb 19th

Well Tuesday was a great day of helping with the care of Ryder and Huckston as we gave Katie a chance to get some sleep and rest as well as spending some time with Annsley, Gabe and Bobby. I did get in some good pickle ball play for an hour and a half before we made that hour long drive to Brandon around 10 in the morning and then again back home around 9:30 or so last evening. The boys are progressing with their reduction of reflux and little Huck is adding ounces with his good appetite and Ryder is just loving being held and is close to 9 pounds or more.

I started the day much the usual with a well before 6 rollout to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time lifting up several by name to my Creator and Lord. All seem as well as can be expected at this time as I've heard nothing to the contrary. I got ready and headed out on my bike for some pickle ball play at the Rec. until 9:30 then headed home to give the garden a quick hand watering before heading out to Brandon at 10.

The amount of traffic at this hour in the morning is just unbelievable so I'm sure glad I do not have to drive in it during rush hour. The big bridge was backed up for half a mile with stop and go traffic but once we got past that area it was heavy traffic but at least maintaining a constant speed. Katie had been alone with the boys for a couple hours and while both were awake when we got there she was holding her own. It's really hard on her when both boys are awake and want to be changed and fed at the same time. We took over around 11'ish and sent her to bed which she did until 5'ish.

The boys did great on keeping down their bottles and the new meds seem to help with that. They did sleep at times in their swinging carriers and stayed awake as we played with them through out the day but they do sleep a lot and we so enjoyed holding them probably more than necessary. Bobby came home with Annsley and Gabe and prepared a quick delicious supper for all of us and then we boys headed to ball field around 6'ish where they were having a practice session. Gabe was pitching batting practice and I feel sure he will be one of their main pitchers when the season starts. He is quite accurate which is what they need to keep the batters off base with walks which usually cause the runs to score. The team looks good and the coaches along with Bobby are teaching them baseball skills and drills. I left the practice around 8 and then headed back to pick up Nancy who was staying with Katie and Annsley. We left there around 8:30 as we knew Bobby would soon be home.

The traffic was horrendous even at that hour and now with new forever road construction the back ups were huge once again coming home. Once its completed which will take decades the traffic flow between the counties should be better but so many folks are moving here from up north, oh well. It wasn't long after unloading the truck and hitting the showers I was ready for some horizontal lab, Later

Tuesday Morning..Feb 18th

Well Monday was another almost summer like day around mid morning and into the afternoon with high heat and humidity and lots of bright sunshine. I started the day with a later than usual roll out so I posted this ramble after getting back from two hours of pickle ball outside with three other good players. We left with wet heads, shirts and just plain worn out. It was a great time of exercise and good play and my partner and I beat a couple Canadians in 5 sets.

I did do my quiet time and checked the birthdays on FB before heading out. All seem well as can be expected for those I lift up daily for comfort and healing to my Creator and Lord. There are several who we know and love who are hurting due to the loss of their loved ones and we lift them up as well. Our twin grand sons seem to be improving a little with their reflux with some new medicine. We are heading over to them later today(tue) after pickle ball to give Katie a chance to rest and for us to love up on them. We will stay late and I'll go to the baseball practice with Bobby and Gabe.

I piddled around in the gardens harvesting green tomato's and egg plants for frying for our lunch as Amy and her kiddos all come for lunch. They all love these except for Eliza which still seems to be recovering from her bout with the high temps and cold symptoms. Ava Mae loves them and she ate as many as I did. I also harvested fresh cilantro and dill to garnish them with and they were delicious to say the least. After they left I headed to drop off some things for the Keswick thrift store, air up my tires and then make a stop at Home Depot.

I did turn on the Daytona 500 around  4'ish and we watched it to its final which ended with a very horrendous crash at the finish line. I'm not sure how the driver survived but it seems he did and with no life threatening injuries the last we heard. We decided we wanted to watch the "WASHINGTON" series on the History channel and it was a good portrayal of our independence from England with Washington as the general leading the continental army against a very powerful foe. We watched that until 10 and then it was off to horizontal lab for me. The Lightning were winning 2-1 when I checked the score before retiring for the night.

I want to give a big shout out and HAPPY BIG DAY to our "mountain mom" Helen as she turns 92 years young today. She is a courageous gal living alone and at times looking after her younger sister and older brother who both have some health issues. Blessing on her and we love her dearly, LATER

Monday Mid Morning..Feb 17th Presidents Day

Well it's late with this ramble because I slept in for a change and only had time for my morning quiet time and checking FB before heading out on my bike to meet up with 3 other PB players for 2 hours of great PB play. It was a perfect morning with little or no wind and the play was great. Two of us American players played 2 Canadian players and had a 2 set to none before they rallied and tied up the play at 2 sets all. We went on to win the 5th set 11-4 and we all were whupped by 10 with wet shirts.

I came home and harvested egg plants and green 'maters for our lunch as Amy and the fam are coming to eat with us since the kiddos are out of school and they all love egg plant and fried green 'maters. I hand watered everything after hanging a load of laundry on the clothesline. It has really warmed up after a beautiful morning. Nancy took off on a hike through the hood and came home washed out and beet red.

Sunday was a great day of worship and we worked both services but did set in on the first service together as I helped usher and take up the offerings. I was there at 5'ish for the load in and since we were short on helpers stayed to help with the load out until 12:30. I was in a funk after a great lunch of fresh garden salad and chilled on the couch until the big race came on TV. I was proud of our potus Trump and his beautiful wife Melania as they stood and honored the flag and the anthem and then took a ride around the track in the "beast" which weighs over 20 thousand pounds, yeow that is a beast no doubt. We have such a great and honorable potus and to hear the dems rant and rave you would think he is next to the devil. We haven't had a more patriotic potus since Regan and I think his polices are even better and his attempt to put America first again is just awesome; but to hear the dems the nation is at its worst under his leadership. They are definitely sycophants of the liberal biased msm who despise Trump and his policies while showing just how inept the dems are and have been the last several decades. Such corruption in the party and the last potus obama and his administration. (I get so I can not capitalize his name, he is and was such a fake and a fraud)

Well that was about it as we started watching on the history channel "Washington" but we both cat napped and I headed for the bedroom around 10'ish and slept for nearly 9 hours, yikes that is a first in many a moon, LATER

Carrots from the garden and egg plant and green maters for lunch from the garden as well.

Sunday Morning...Feb 16th

Well Saturday was a bit nippy at 50's plus compared to the last 2 morning when the temps started out in the 70's. There was a stiff breeze which made it feel even colder but there was plenty of sunshine. There was no pickle ball today as the gym is still occupied with youth basketball on Saturdays and the rec. is closed on Monday as well.

I just got back from the 5'ish load in for BridgePoint Church at the college and once again we were short on help. It seems Darren and I are now the two who come the earliest and get most of the work done of course he gets there way earlier than me and today had both trailer unloaded onto the sidewalk while we waited for the college to open its doors at 6.

I piddled around in the gardens hand watering the new seedlings and pulling weeds after I did my usual morning routines that start with the hot green and my quiet time. I got word that a dear friends daughter passed away during the early morning hours and very unexpectedly. She was much younger than me by at least 15 or more years and was a medical nurse as well. One just never knows when your time is up here on this earth.

After it warmed up which it did by late morning I headed out to wash the truck as it sat under the oaks at Bobby's Tuesday night and it rained all kinds of tree stuff on the white truck. That kept me busy for an hour or so until lunchtime then I settled into a book for the next couple hours and even took a brief power nap. I grilled the salmon filets we had thawed for Friday nights supper but instead let the fried green home grown tomato's hold us for the meal. We added the salmon to a home grown garden salad which was delicious.

We took the Ross Family out to Texas Roadhouse for supper as I had a gift card around 5'ish. Little Eliza is still some what subdued to her fever of last week and missed most of the school week. Sam was better but Amy still had a cough. The food was great along with the service and I took my own jalapeno pepper with me for my baked tater, yeow did that ever wake up the taste buds and complimented my ground sirloin steak and Caesar salad. Everyone had some kind of steak and they were grilled to perfection.

We came back to the house and finished watching the Lightning win again until they headed for home. I hit the showers then watched the live boxing matches on TV even staying up close to 11 to see the championship bout which had me keyed up for the winner against a German tough guy. I did n't get much sleep from being excited but did get up at 5'ish to head out for the load in, LATER

Saturday Morning..Feb 15th

Well we got some much needed rain during the Thursday night to early Friday morning and it was rather misty and foggy on my bike ride out to the rec. around 8 for two hours of non stop pickle ball play. I had started the day with a before 6 roll out to my usual cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting several up by name. All seem as well as can be expected.

I played hard for two hours never losing a set as we had to play with the mixed players as the outside court was too wet for us advanced players to use so we mingled. There are a few players who never win unless they are paired up with one of the advanced players and Friday was their day as I managed to win with every player in the mix. I'm finally getting back into good shape playing everyday and enjoying the exercise that comes with it. I was rather whupped by 10'ish with a wet head and shirt before heading home to work up a sweat in the gardens and yards.

I finished transplanting the lettuce seedlings into the ground after turning the soil over with a shovel; no rocks here in this sandy Florida soil but I did see tons of earth worms which is a great sight for good gardening because their casings(poop) are the best plant fertilizer ever. I gave away and cleaned the last of the Romaine lettuces and transplanted the new seedlings into their spot. I also dug up my beet seedlings and transplanted them into 6 packs with some potting soil which is mainly a Black Cow brand mixture of dehydrated cow manure. It makes great potting soil when mixed with soil from the garden. I got a dozen beet seedlings which are really difficult to transplant for some reason but once they get 4-5 inches you can hardly hurt them when transplanting, oh well.

Nancy was at her Friday morning Bible study at SFBC until noon so I decided once I finished the transplanting to go ahead and mow both front and back yards. The grass was starting to send out runners but the weeds were heading and to keep them from reseeding it was time to mow plus there were lots of oak leaves in the yard and I need them for my garden. Earth worms love oak leaves especially if they have been mulched which helps with their decomposing time thus making great food for them to turn into casings.

I finished my yard word around 1'ish and settled into a fresh garden salad that was delicious as it all came from the garden. I'm now getting handfuls of the small cherry style tomato's which are delicious in taste and pretty in color. I took the next couple hours and caught up on some reading while Nancy was out shopping She did get her coat from The Duluth Company which will be a big need on our Alaskan Cruise in September which we take with our church friends and Life Group Leaders from BridgePoint.

Well after a light supper of fried green tomato's from the garden we settled into the Fox Cable News until it was shower time for me and then Nancy followed. It was a busy day and I was soon ready for some horizontal lab around 10'ish, LATER

Friday Morning ..Feb.14th

Well this month is half gone already and while the time quickly moves on so does the season as it seems summer has arrived here on the Suncoast of Florida, yikes. This makes me want to head to the mountains where it was in the 50's yesterday but does cool back during the nights. The trees will be leaving out if the temps stay like this for very long.

I started the day on Thursday much the usual with a before 6 rollout to my usual routines that start with the cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric that washing down my handful of Nutrilite vitamins and supplements. I believe there are 12 different ones I swallow in one gulp which Nancy just can not handle. She takes a glass of water for one pill, oh well. I had my tea while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting up several by name. I got word that Paw Paw is back home with Pat and is doing as well as can be expected considering his age and health issues. Everyone else I lift up daily are holding their own. The "boys" I do believe are also doing a little better during the night and keeping their food down. They are eating, pooping and crying so they are growing and hopefully will soon grow out of this reflux stage which I've learned is natural for preemie babies.

I headed out on my bike for the Rec. for two solid hours of pickle ball play and was glad when 10 came as I was whupped with a wet head and shirt. I pedaled home to work in the garden until lunch time after hanging a load of laundry outside on the clothesline. I moved my 4 hills of cucumbers into the area along the back fence and put up chicken wire for them to climb on. I also saw my neighbor behind me and blessed her with a bunch of collards which they love as well. I gave away lettuces to both neighbors on either side of me as I get ready to replant the seedlings which are growing nicely. We may have to go a week or so without lettuces but I still have plenty of other leafy greens to supplement with. I'm now picking lots of cherry 'maters and a few of the larger ones. I did notice where the nematodes have begun to effect the Swiss chard which they attack first and also a couple of the tomato plants are showing signs they have attacked their roots.

The pole beans have added another leaf and I harvested my first handful of sugar peas for the salad bowl. Most everything looks great but the heat from the past couple of days will soon wreck havoc on the veggies unless I water at least twice a day. I set the sprinkler last evening on the front lawn as its dry and several brown spots are visible. Where is all the rain the mountains are getting this winter. I harvested and cleaned greens for the salad bowl which will last a couple days. We decided to finished up the casserole we took to Bobby's on Tuesday for supper and it was delicious. We spoke with our "mountain mom" Helen and she is thrilled with her new flooring in her cabin and the pics she sent really made a difference from the carpet. All is well with her at her young age of 92 which reminds me she has a birthday this month. She and Paw Paw are close in age but she is so much more independent and healthy as she still lives alone.

Well that was about it for the day except I did watch the Lightning win again with 4 of their main players injured and out of the game. The subs did a fantastic job against the two highest scoring players in the league and held them to just one goal . Its looking like the Lightning will make the playoffs again and lets hope they do better than their first round loss last year, LATER

Thursday Morning..Feb 13th

Well Wednesday found us in Brandon with an all night stay over with Karie and the boys as Bobby was still out of town with his job. He was coming back late last night so he will be there to at least give her some support and a chance to rest as we did. She is holding up well and we have seen some improvement with the reflux of both of them at times but more so with Ryder the larger of the two boys. Both have tummy issues which at times all you can do is rock them, hold them close and spoil them which is a grand parents delight.

Katie has another female friend coming at 9 so she was able to get a couple hours of sleep during the night and then again when we awakened or arose from the spare room around 6 and took over for her feeding, changing diapers and comforting the little guys. They are so sweet at times but we feel so bad for them when they are suffering the effects of the reflux despite being on a medication to ease those symptoms. After her friend came Katie stayed up and I headed out to get us breakfast and then with 3 gals there I wasn't needed for awhile so I was able to post yesterday's blog and catch up on some emails and even read for awhile. She stayed until Katie and Nancy headed to a doctors at 1'o'clock appointment with the boys and I stayed back and read until they got back around 3'ish.

We headed out for Seminole around 3:30 after grabbing a bite of lunch from Culver's on the crosstown toll road. It too was backed up in places for miles as the traffic is horrendous in the Tampa area and especially with all of the construction on both of these major highways. Once its complete it should help but with all of the folks moving to this area it will soon be outdated as well. It took us over an hour to get Sam's Club to fill up again at 2.17 a gallon which changes almost daily despite being energy independent from the Arab countries, oh well. Its much cheaper than the 4 buck a gallon price a couple years back before Trump became potus.

Speaking our our duly elected potus America is awakening to what the dem party is offering and its pitiful for what their candidates stand for and how hopeless they have done everything possible to destroy this man and his presidency. They are now on another role once again to discredit his comment on the outrageous sentence of an associate from a failed corrupt Mueller investigation which was an unlawful event to start with. The dem's are so bias and corrupt and we now see where even the yankees in N.H. have voted for Trump more than any other republican ever. I love how he sets the media and the dems up for a fall as they can not see past their inept failures. He will win in a landslide in Nov. as most patriotic Americans see through the failed platforms that want to erase the turn around for the nation under his leadership. God Bless Trump and those in the congress who love the nation and want US(A) to be a great again, LATER

Wednesday Morning in Brandon...Feb 12th

Well Tuesday was another busy day that started with my usual before 6 roll out to my routines that start with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting up several by name for comfort and healing. Paw Paw is still in the VA hospital as they are awaiting some results on whether to release him to go back home with Pat to Wardensville W.Va. either today or in the near future.

I headed out a little before 8 on my bike to the Rec. for close to two hours of pickle ball play before heading home to hand watering the gardens before leaving for Brandon around 10:30 to help with caring for the twin boys. Katie has her hands full with them especially when both are awake and need feeding or diaper changing immediately. Both of them are gaining weight but still have a terrible reflux issue especially little Huck. Both suffer from this issue, but Huck seems to have it the worst. We managed to give Katie a couple hours rest after arriving but she still pumps every couple of hours so she never gets more than 3 hours at a time to completely sleep. She is holding up quite well with her cat naps and a couple hours at a time when the boys actually sleep.

We fed and changed many diapers throughout the morning and afternoon and even managed to take them out for a walk in the stroller. They did great at times but loved being held as we helped to spoil them whenever. Their little tummy's would hurt them from time to time and there wasn't much we could do but rub and rock them. Nancy made a nice casserole and we brought a salad for our supper and then I headed out to the ball field to watch Gabe play a scrimmage match. He actually pitched one inning and did quite well giving up no runs as well as scored twice after getting on base. It was close to 9 before I got back to the house and I decided to spent the night as Nancy was already scheduled to stay since Bobby was in Arizona for his job. He should be back in town tonight so there will be two adults to help with the boys care. There definitely needs to be two adults when both boys are in full awake manner and are crying for a bottle or the breast.

One of Katie's friends came back this morning to actually give Nancy and I chance to run to McDonalds for some coffee and breakfast foods. We will help throughout this day as the boys have an appointment in the afternoon with the GI doctor in hopes for some stronger meds to help with the reflux, anyhow we will head back to Seminole sometime after their appointment later in the day, LATER

Tuesday Morning ..Feb 11th

Well it starting to feel like summer once again as the temps were close to 80 with some humidity back in the picture. I'll surely miss those chilly morning with no  humidity but there is plenty of sunshine. I was busy with 2 plus hours of pickle ball and then some gardening before lunch but afterwards it was almost too warm to be outside so I caught up on some reading.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my cup of green tea while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in humble thanksgiving and lifting up several by name. I got a call from middle sister Pat that Paw Paw was still in the hospital and would be there another day or so depending on his kidney functions; everyone else is as well as can be expected as I've heard nothing to the contrary.

I headed to the rec. on my bike a little before 8 and got in a set inside before we had 6 good A players and headed outside to play. It was a beautiful morning with very little wind but plenty of bright sunshine. I managed to win every set with a different player and after 2 hours decided I'd had enough. I stopped off at the library for a couple reads before heading home with a wet head and whupped.

I hung a load of laundry for Nancy and the transplanted three different kinds of lettuce seedlings into 6 packs and got them ready for transplanting into the garden in a couple weeks once they have another leaf or two. The ones I transplanted last week already have two or more additional leaves and so far I've lost none of those Bibb seedlings. The cucumber's have added another leaf and so far so good as are the pole beans which all came up despite those cold wet days. The tomato's plants took a real beating from the last front with the strong winds but they are still green.

We had leftover lasagna for supper which was delicious from Saturdays birthday supper for Bobby. We are heading to Brandon again this morning after pickle ball to spent the night helping Katie with the boys as she a doctor visit tomorrow and will need help. Nancy has a chicken casserole ready to take for our supper and then I'll go to Gabe baseball practice as Bobby is still in Arizona with his job, LATER

Monday Morning..Feb 10th

Well Sunday was a busy day that started with a 5 AM roll out to head over to the college to help with the load in for BridgePoint Church. It was a bit chilly on my bike ride but the moon light was dazzling. Myself and several other volunteers set the college up for the service and then I stayed after the last service to help with breaking down and packing everything in roll on cases and carts to be stored away in two huge trailers until next week. The college is perfect for us but it does take several volunteers to put this venue on. Nancy and I both worked both services before and after but I did set in on the message and the music.

I was back home by 7'ish and got ready to head back over to the college a little after 8 for the morning "huddle" before folks started arriving for the first service at (  and then second one starts at 10:30. We had a great attendance once again with several new families attending for the first. It's our goal to help ALL folks get closer to GOD. Later in the evening at our good friends the Nymark's house we had a leadership meeting with several of the weekly volunteers and a lite supper. We love volunteering and working with these awesome folks who are dedicated to our goal. We dropped Dan off on the way home from the meeting as Carol wasn't up to par with her health.

I spent the biggest part of the afternoon relaxing on the couch after hand watering the gardens after church. The chilly morning turned quickly into a rather warm afternoon with a breeze drying out the gardens. I'll need to move some lettuces up into 6 packs as they are now with 2-3 leaves and the beet seedlings are also showing some growth. The new XFL football league previewed and while the Tampa team did not fare very well the games were good with some different rule changes. I'm a lover of football and we will now have it for the next 8 weeks with 8 teams in the league and Tampa being one of them.

That was about it for the day as the early wake up and volunteering have me sleepy by 9'ish. It wasn't long after getting home from the meeting around 8'ish that I was ready for some horizontal lab, LATER

Sunday Morning... Feb 9th

Well Saturday was another busy fun filled day as we had two of the Ross kiddos spending the night and then here again until close to lunch time. Nancy fixed a large mountain breakfast of deer sausage, eggs and toast and the kiddos raved as did we. Delicious to say the least. Sam and I got caught up in a couple of the old games we had in the closet called Stratego and Battleship; he whipped me in both games. Bobby and I use to play those games many moons ago.

I did my abbreviated routines due to having a kiddo sleeping where I usually do my morning routines but it worked out as I headed to the kitchen table. You would think they would have slept in but both are use to getting up for school around 6'ish so I hadn't been up long before they awaken and was ready to go. They did play on their devices for awhile before we fed them breakfast. It was down right chilly with temps in the 40's but by the time they left for home the sun had warmed the outside temps up to the 60's with bright sunshine.

I headed out to hand water the gardens and everything looked good as there was no frost and then I helped the neighbor with checking out her well pump. I got that running and now it was pumping water with a great stream. We got ready to head over to Bobby's in Brandon as soon 1:30 and stopped by to pick up Sam who was going along with us. Amy was sick with a cold; coughing and snot nosed so she didn't want to be around the boys and infect them. Ava was at an overnighter at youth camp and Tyler and Eliza had a father daughter dance at Keswick that evening; so that left Sam to play with  Gabe and Annsley. They all had a grand time in the tree fort with a zip line that Bobby built in their back yard. Even Grandma Nancy was in the tree fort and did the zip line

Bobby and I took the boys on an hour long walk(them in the double stroller) around their neighborhood which they slept the whole time and really seemed to enjoy getting out in the warm afternoon sunshine. They are doing so much better and now are sleeping from about 10'ish until around 4'ish in the morning in their cribs down stairs. Bobby and Katie are still sleeping down stairs on the couches but if the boys continue to do so well they will soon head back upstairs to their beds. Bobby flies out late this evening for a few days so we will go over on Tuesday and spend the day and then Nancy will spend the night. Katie needs someone to be with her when both boys awake for feedings. Huck did well yesterday with very little spit ups and Ryder doesn't do much at all. They do like to be held but are even better at staying awake and not fussing.

We got back around 9'ish and dropped Sam off who fell asleep on the long drive back. I hit the showers and then watched the Lightning win against a N.Y. team. I was up early this morning(sun) for the load in at the college for BridgePoint Church, LATER

We celebrated Bobby's 39th birthday with a huge lasagna, salad and lemon pound cake Nancy made and brought with us.

Saturday Morning..Feb 8th

Well the weather once again changed overnight after the big storm went through. We had a tornado touch down here in Seminole that took out some buildings and a few trees but we were damage free once again. No one was hurt and one mobil home was destroyed by a huge oak that fell. The rain was welcome again as well but the temps dropped down to winter style again overnight to the 40's.

Friday found me doing my usual before 6 roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord lifting up several by name for comfort and healing. Paw Paw is still in the VA hospital for at least another overnight stay for additional tests. Everyone else is as well as can be expected. I headed out on my bike before 8 to a chilly ride to the Rec. for 2 hours of continuous pickle ball play before heading home to work in the garden. The high winds almost destroyed the tomato and egg plants but I was able to re-stake them and I think they will survive. I transplanted the pepper plants I had separated last week which showed great root growth into the ground and re-transplanted a couple of Bibb seedlings into a different area of the garden. I have three more lettuce groups to transplant into 6 packs and then set them out into the garden once they garner at three to four leaves.

Nancy was at her Friday morning Bible study at SFBC so I had the morning free and decided to head to the barber shop after pickle ball before working in the gardens. The sun had warmed up to a pleasant 60 degrees by mid morning and I took advantage of the working conditions. I now have sugar peas on the vines and will soon be adding them to the salad bowl and the radishes are up and adding leaves as well. I'm disappointed in the production of the first tomato plants that I brought back from the cabin as for some reason they are just not producing like I want. I have huge vines and plants on the other three but very little fruit set. I started one from some old seeds and while its still rather small it's blooming already.

Well we got two of the Ross grand kiddos around 5'ish for the night. Ava was off with her youth group from SFBC for the weekend so Amy and Tyler had a date night to celebrate their 15th anniversary; where did that time go. They love tacos so I harvested some fresh cilantro and dill to go along with their tacos which they loved. They ate well and Nancy spoiled them with some ice cream sundaes. They were on their devices and were content to just relax with them. After their baths I got mine and retired to the other room and watched TV and was soon out for the night around 10'ish. Nancy is a night owl and finally hit shower after the kiddos were in bed.

We head over to Brandon sometime this afternoon(SAT) and take a some of the Ross's with us for a birthday celebration supper with Bobby and the family. Nancy made the sauce a day ago for a huge lasagna and salad supper as well as a lemon pound cake. Sam and Amy are battling a cold so we aren't sure if they will go so as to not infect the boys who are seemingly sleeping a little more during the night which is a huge blessing for them. They were back at the GI doctor and got some stronger meds for little Huck who is still spitting up more than usual after eating; but he is gaining weight which is good.

I did watch the speech by our Potus in N.C. yesterday about the Opportunity Zones which is putting folks from neighborhoods back to work and giving them changes and hope for a better life. They are especially targeting lower income communities which should help with lowering crime and drug use which comes with having no vision for the future. I have to say the dems have and are doing nothing in the congress for these folks for decades except give them no hope to make a better life. They are so hypocritical of our Potus who is trying to make life better for ALL Americans, LATER

Friday Morning..Feb 7th

Well Thursday was another busy day but the weather changed dramatically with high winds almost what seemed like hurricane force at times and later in the evening just about bedtime a strong line of storms with tornado's hit the Suncoast. I'm not sure of the damages but some tree damage occurred during the day as the news reported. I'm saddened to report a fellow trooper was gunned down and killed by a thug but thankfully an off duty LEO saw the incident and wiped out this thugs life. I also got word from sister Pat who is the full time care giver for Paw Paw that he was taken to the VA hospital because of some shortness of breath and a severe pain in the chest area. Seems he contracted a UTI which may have led to this infection and the cause of the pain. Anyhow he is 92 and doing fairly well despite these issues. He was admitted overnight for further testing.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my usual routines; cup of hot green tea, quiet time and then a ride out to the Rec. for two plus hours of pickle ball inside the gym as it was just too windy to play outside. We had a couple new players and they were very good  who are here for a month from the upstate N.Y. where pickle ball is very prevalent. I stopped by the library for a couple new reads before pedaling home on my bike against a very strong head wind.

I piddled around in the gardens harvest enough leafy greens such as; Swiss chard, 2 types of kale, 2 types of lettuces and beet greens as well as beets themselves and some carrots to go along with the salad and our supper. The wind was playing havoc with the tall garden plants like the 6 foot tall tomato and egg plants. I double staked them but the collards and other plants took a beating from the strong winds. I did hand water for awhile but it looked like rain was coming later in the evening plus the watering loosened the soil around the plants and I didn't want them to blowout of the ground.

Well I've been following the sham impeachment hearings and all the political fallout from it and I've seen some rather disappointing posts from those who are filled with the TDS. I'm amazed at those who hate this potus and such vitriol by the press. We've in my opinion got the best potus ever to turn the nation around after the failed divisive 8 years of the Obama administration which was the root of the failed coup of Trump by his sycophants and then loving of the terrorists in the congress. We are at a turning point on whether the nation will go socialist and destroy our culture with those who want to become potus against Trump or staying a republic with capitalism and a christian nation.

There is a bill proposed by the liberal dems called "the way forward bill" which will give all illegals citizenship and especially those who have been deported for criminal acts. 51 dems in the congress thus far have signed on and if it becomes law we the natural legal citizens will become second class to these criminals. These criminals some close to a half million in numbers will be brought back and granted all of the rights that we now have. Please check this bill out and stand up for the nation. Tucker Carlson on Fox News last night brought this insidious bill to light and NO ONE in the biased MSM is sharing this information. This is flying under the radar of most Americans as the dems are finding away to increase their voting base to regain power.

Well I watched the news for awhile and see where the dems will never give this potus any peace or pass any bills that give him any credit. We must defeat them at the polls in Nov. and take back our country before we have another sham impeachment. Never would I believe they are so adamant on destroying this non politician who has turned the nation around in just 3 years. This is the reason they hate him so because the congress has become a golden goose for career politicians and now we are seeing just how inept they have become and how they have sold out the nation for personal gain. Just look at the millionaires in the congress and tell me they have the best interests of the working man.

I tuned into the Lightning Game and they beat the Penguins in a rough and tumble game. Now here are real athletes and I wonder how many of the players from football could match their toughness, Oh well, LATER
The beets and carrots from the garden. Its unusual to have 3 out 4 carrots with doubles that I harvested for the first time this years. Nancy roasted them in olive oil and they were Awesome in flavor and I put the beet greens in the salad as well.

Thursday Morning..Feb 6th

Well Wednesday was a busy day that found me at home all day except for my early morning couple hours at the Rec. on the pickle ball courts with various levels of expertise. I managed to stay on for close to and hour and half before I got paired with a very new beginner and finally lost a set. Actually it was a blessing as I was worn to a frazzel and needed a break. It seems I've now become the person to win a point against and most desirably a set if possible. My level has probably reached about as high as it will get due to my age so I'm relishing in this notoriety. I do love the physical aspect more than the results of winning and I'm always attempting to help those who seek my advice to further improve their game.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some time with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting up several by name. All seem as well as can be expected. I'm thrilled the Senate acquitted our Potus who is working for all Americans for a change. There is so much corruption held over from the last vile administration that he will never get a moments rest from them or the msm and of course there are a couple rino's in his party. One especially who holds a grudge from Utah. Let's hope the patriotic folks of this nation send all of these packing in Nov.

I came back from the Rec. and finally finished the bay window seat job which required some touch up painting and minor carpentry but Nancy is pleased as am I with the results. I did do some gardening while the paint dried and noticed lots of color from the recently sowed lettuce seeds. I'm not sure how long these leafy greens will last because the heat and humidity came back after a cool start of the day. We had several days of almost perfect winter temps but saw the real weather in the afternoon with high humidity and rather warm temps.

Well Nancy was off to one of her two Bible Study classes later in the evening so I ate leftovers while she doesn't like to eat big due to her IBS which acts up from time to time. I watched the Fox Cable News and saw where many are excoriating the speaker for her childish act of ripping apart the State of the Union speech. These dems are so full of hate for this Potus and the 63 million folks who put him in office. I would like to see all of the dems voted out in Nov. I almost forgot to mention the 15 year anniversary of daughter Amy and son in law Tyler which occurred on this date. They have three beautiful children who all love the Lord and they gave us our first grand child Ava Mae and then Sam and finally Elisa, Blessing on all of them, LATER
